There are a lot of monitor alternatives out there, especially if you go to 4k, but I decided to bite the bullet and get this with my Mac studio. I'm very happy with it, although yes it's a lot of money for what it is. So from what I was able to research, this vs the lg ultra fine 5k, and if you're using it with a Mac and have the extra $300 to fork up, it's probably your best bet to go with the studio display. 5 |

As a low-budget, indie filmmaker I usually don't bring a director / client monitor with me. Not because I don't find them useful, but because it's hard to transport them without the fear of them getting damaged. I know I could just keep the box that came with the monitor and transport it that way, but that looks cheap. And we all know sometimes clients want the illusion over the practicality. That's why when I received the Arco LCD Transport Case I was thrilled. What you get at this price point is astounding. It's got a real solid exterior that looks and feels as if it could take a bullet ( don't use it to stop a bullet) and the interior is no lie, softer and more comfortable than my bed. It's got handles all over it and even a shoulder strap option so you can carry it comfortably without looking awkward. Plus the front pocket is clutch for carrying all sorts of accessories. I can totally see myself bringing my monitor out more often now that I'm no longer afraid of it getting damaged by my other gear all the while giving me the professional look. 5 |
