Burton F Stop 28L Camera Backpack

I've been in need of a proper shooting bag for years. I've had a nice Burton camera backpack, and I love it, but not meant for shooting events. Plenty of space for camera and a few lens', plus lots of room for whatever else.

I have been searching for the perfect business/pleasure travel backpack for years. For the last several years I have been using a 28l PacSafe which has held up very, very well, but it is only a top loading bag and was too small for 2-3 day overnights packing a computer, charger, shoes and clothes. So far, the PD 30l seems to be the one. Clamshell opening, easy access, not too many straps and pockets, the shoulder strap system is fantastic and I love the expansion zipper. I looked for a long time, tried all of the bigger brands, Patagonia and the like, and settled on this bag. Looking forward to many years of use.

Searched high and low to replace my old Burton backpack. I appreciated it and traveled the world with it. Now I am excited to start my journeys with my Samsonite.

I've owned many bags over 15 years of doing this. This might be my favorite. I'm sad that Burton no longer makes a camera bag and I wasn't in love with the other camera brands. This one is really well thought out love the pockets are smart the handle is great the straps are comfortable. Great material. Feels well made and it's going to last which is good because I like it.

I was looking for something to put my camera in (lens and optical converter attached) to stop it from rolling around in my trunk while driving to a new location to photograph wildlife. I found this backpack in the B&H catalog on line. the specs looked right so I ordered it. I turns out that it works perfectly. It is well padded and compartmentalized to totally protect the camera. Now I can travel with less worry about damaging the camera. The price of the backpack is not too much to pay to protect much more expensive gear!

There's simply no better protection for your lens and camera. Either when carrying them on my f-stop backpack, or my Domke bag, lenses will always be inside one of Op/Tech pouches. Great protection, and easy to deploy.

Youd think for the price this would have some flaws. At f.1/4 its pretty sharp at f.2 its razor sharp. I did not look at the outer edges of the frames as Im concerned with my subject. Good buy for the price.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tote is so much roomier than I expected! 28L is a LOT of space! and it folds up so small in an ingenious way. I love all of Nomatic's gear - I have a LOT of it - and this tote holds up to all of my expectations for quality and usability.

My wife and I shoot weddings with 2 Panasonic GH4s and obviously the lighting at receptions was a problem. We used this lens at the reception we shot last night, at f.95, and it was incredible. It was so much fun to shoot people dancing without having to blast a light in their face, more people played to the camera instead of looking at us like a nuisance, and the insane depth of field just made the footage look cooler. The image we were capturing was brighter than what we saw with our eyes. Even at f.95 I didn't think pulling focus was very difficult, and the lens seemed to smooth out the GH4's noise somehow even at iso1600. I highly recommend this lens as an alternative to a speed booster if you need better low light performance out of your MFT camera.
