Burton Zoom 26L Camera Backpack Review

I recently used the MindShift Gear BackLight 26L Backpack (Charcoal) for a convention in Las Vegas. I carried two a7iv's with 28-200 lenses, a charger, battery, two water bottles, and snacks for over 30 miles of walking and the pack was comfortable the entire time. The backpack's design allowed for easy access to my camera gear and the well-padded straps and back panel made it easy to carry all of my items without any discomfort. One thing I really appreciate about this backpack is that it doesn't have the normal overtly sleek tech look to it, but has more of an outdoorsy vibe which is nice and can help you not stand out or look like a target for tech thieves. Overall, I highly recommend the MindShift Gear BackLight 26L Backpack for anyone in need of a durable and comfortable backpack for carrying camera gear and other essentials.

I've been in need of a proper shooting bag for years. I've had a nice Burton camera backpack, and I love it, but not meant for shooting events. Plenty of space for camera and a few lens', plus lots of room for whatever else.

A well designed camera backpack made with quality materials, great fabric and strong zippers. The pack includes thick firm foam padding with adjustable velcro dividers and sleeves for a tablet and or a laptop. The pack incorporates many standard “BackPack” features: an adjustable sternum strap, adjustable and padded shoulder and waist straps and an included Rain Cover. The thick padding makes the pack appear to be larger than 26L but after checking its out I think that the volume of 26L refers to the internal capacity. When loaded up the pack is a comfortable fit for my 5’8 height.

Searched high and low to replace my old Burton backpack. I appreciated it and traveled the world with it. Now I am excited to start my journeys with my Samsonite.

This is my second MindShift Backpack. I have the 26L and now that I am older and have a second mirrorless kit, I wanted to have less weight to carry around without sacrificing quality and necessary space requirements. The 18L is absolutely perfect! I can carry 2 water bottles on my day long hikes, a tripod, lunch, and plenty of camera gear. The 13" laptop sleeve will be perfect for air travel and I look forward to having this smaller pack to stow on the overhead compartment on the airplane. I love this backpack.

I have the 26L and just love the backpack. I bought this one for the time when I do not need to carry so much. These are the best backpacks I think money can buy. They fit and look so good. As a woman this is something I look at. I got the green on both. You cannot go wrong with ether of these.

Absolutely love the Mindshift 26L backpack. Holds all my camera gear and is well constructed. Larger than what I normally carry, but well suited for those longer hikes. I currently have it loaded with the following: Sony a7riv, Sony 70-200GM, Sigma 14-24, Sigma 24-70, Sony 50mm, Sigma 35, filter case, Sd card case and other accessories. Plenty of room in the front section for a jacket or other needs.

I normally shoot with 2 bodies and use the Mindshift 26L backpack, but I wanted something small for when I only go out with one body and an extra lens or two.� The Sling Bag is perfect.� Lightweight and comfortable to wear, and I love the way it swings to the front for easy access to equipment without taking it off.� �Very happy.

I needed a backpack that could carry all of my lenses, and this Mindshift Gear Backlight 26L fits the bill. I have a 300mm f/4, 24-85mm, 28-300mm, 70-200 f/4, 1.4x teleconverter, 24MP DSLR, and a flash unit and it all fits. Previously I have been using the 22L Rotation 180 Panorama, which is a fantastic backpack, however I find the Panorama pack works well if I am only bringing 1 - 2 lenses. However if one is bringing 2 lenses, usually the 2nd lens has to be put in the upper portion of the Panorama, and one has to take off the backpack to switch lenses...which is exactly the opposite reason for buying the backpack. Additionally stashing a 2nd lens in the upper compartment takes up precious space that is needed for other gear like jackets, sweaters, and lunch. However, the Backlight 26L solves all of these issues, as I can now bring all the gear. I like that the side pockets are big enough to fit a 40 oz. Hydro Flask Wide Mouth insulated water bottle. I am amazed that I can fit my iPad Pro, and laptop, if I want to carry even more weight! If I am only taking one lens, and I am moving fast and light, I still use my Rotation 180 Panorama...however for those other situations when I need to take more gear, especially when I am working mostly from a car, the Backlight 26L works perfectly.
