Business Card Holder For Desk Target

This a great minimalist card holder for the tech or business professional!

Card arrived 2 business days after ordering, B&H also called and verified my order before they shipped it out which I thought was nice. The card runs great, I can pretty much run any game maxed out settings on 4k getting over 100 frames. Temps on the card also stay pretty low.

This card folds up small and has a great target to help get a quick easy focus. The matireal that the card is made of snaps into place and is trapoline like in its flatness when deployed. It could have a more protective case, as it was a little scuffed when it arived, but it was nothiing worth sending it back over. Overall a must have in everyones bag!

If you have been using a grey card to set your grey balance, like I was, dump it and get one of these. Seriously, it folds up small, makes a great large target when it's open, it won't fray, crease, or dog ear like a grey card, and it's substantial enough that you won't lose it or not be able to find it when you need it. I waited way too long to step up. Also, I love the other white side for setting slog exposure on my Sony FS7. I use an Atomos Shogun with the FS7, and it offers a huge histogram display. Near or relatively far away this target creates a nice horizontal line on the display that makes setting exposure a snap. It's not sexy like a camera, but it's easy to use and reliable. It appears to be well made. I think if I treat it well, it should last a decade or more. It's affordable, get one.

I had a small white card, but decided on the larger size. It is still small enough to fit in my camera bag, but a larger target to use for white balance.

For a long time I've just used the auto white balance setting or picked one of the choices available to me for my DSLR. When I get back from shooting I seemed to spend a ton of time doing color correction. A friend suggested that I start using a custom white balance and purchasing a target I happened to be in New York and could swing by the B&H store. I got the small (6 inch) target by Photo Vision and it was amazing to see what happened to my shots after that. It's simple to use... just point, shoot, and set. You will need to know how to set a custom white balance with your camera but even that is pretty easy. When you get back home from the shoot I don't spend much time playing with the color balance which saves a ton of time. The target I got came with a DVD from the creator of the card and it was really useful but a bit long winded. The reverse side of the small target is a reflector card which you might be able to use to bounce some light... but in my opinion is pretty useless. That's not a big deal however since if you need a reflector card you wouldn't be buying this size target anyway.

The card is fast and quiet. I have it in an enclosure on my desk and I barely hear it.

Does Pelican put out poor products? This card holder is fantastic!
