There's so much good to say about this Synology Mesh Router and I have said it in other places. The greatest parts is you can get this to work in harmony with the Synology RT 2600 AC Wi-FI Router and have a solid big home or small business system. The software makes controlling user access and content restrictions really easy and it is powerful. But here is what would take this Mesh Router to the next level: - Update to the latest Wi-FI 6 Standard - Make it able to work with POE (Power over Ethernet) so it does not require a separate power brick - Better mounting options so it can easily be hung on a wall or from a ceiling None of these are deal killers but they do factor in if you care about the overall implementation in the best way possible. To get that level of integration, you will need to look towards something like the Ubiquiti UniFi system but that system is overkill for most home and small business situations. As is, this mesh router working in conjunction with the RT 2600 AC is the best way to get close to a robust business level wi-fi application in a reasonable and affordable package. 5 |

The typical home wireless router puts everything in one box - the router, software, and wireless access points. UniFi breaks it apart into plug and play modules that you can place anywhere independently. This gives way more configuration options which is all straight forward with the UniFi software. For those a little more knowledgeable on networking this is an awesome setup to have. Originally I plugged the UAP-AC-LITE into a EdgeRouterX but after power issues I upgraded to the Security Gateway which is a much better experience. Installed the UniFi software on my Macbook Air, it found and provisioned both, and I was up and running. Once it was configured I now only run the UniFi software when there's a need to check the system. This is enterprise grade with well considered management options and monitoring through an intuitive interface (four WiFi networks, customizable guest web page, deep packet inspection...) Great performance thus far, and with the UAP-AC-LITE using PoE I can have it on UPS while placing it anywhere there is an Ethernet port, like tucked behind the TV :-) Now looking to invest in a Cloud key (an independent little box to run the UniFi software) and a UniFi switch (to give more PoE). I'm hooked... 5 |

Upgraded from 802.11ac router and wireless network was dramatically improved - both speed and reliability. Gigabit FiOS was previously bottle necked by old router but now getting much closer to advertised numbers. No longer having issues with mult computers accessing VPNs and/or simultaneous Zoom calls. Set-up took a few tries but now very reliable. Very happy with upgrade. 5 |

We have a n router, not an AC standard router, but, compared to the adapter built into our relatively new laptop, the wireless download speed increased from about 20 Mbps to 36. Our hard wired service from Comcast into the router is about 85-90 Mbps so there is speed loss in wireless, but it's much less with this adapter than the one that is built into our Dell laptop. Plus, if we ever buy a new router, (and possible upgrade our Comcast internet service), we may be able to take advantage of the higher AC band speed. 5 |

I use these cables to connect my pc with the new wireless AC router and modem. They look solidly built, are thicker than your average Ethernet cables and are somewhat stiffer (perhaps due to the double protection layer). Simply wanted the best cables and I think these are it. Cannot say anything on the speed benchmarks, but I think when we get Google fiber the throughput may come in handy. 5 |

Great router for the price. Saw an instant increase of wireless throughput from my previous AC router. 5 |
