The USB-C to Ethernet + Charging adapter charges your connected device while also providing an ethernet connection, so no need for multiple connectors. I have been using this on my Android phone and my laptop, both devices have a USB-C port and my Belkin adapter worked great on both devices. It provided an adequate charge and a stable internet connection without any issues. The adapter was immediately recognized by both devices and there was no need to install any software to make the adapter work. The adapter is also small and portable enough to carry with you anywhere you go. I would highly recommend this adapter to anyone looking for an ethernet + charging adapter.

I was a little curious as to how much I would like this adapter, using the standard L-series lenses on my new R5 C, but so far it is really a welcome addition to the kit. I have despised using Metabones adapters over the years, so that's where my apprehension came from. I'm not sure how well it works with Sigma, Rokinon, or other third-party manufacturers, but it is great with the Canon lenses. You really don't even know it is there. And, the circular polarizer works quite well, with the adjustment wheel easy to access, smooth to the touch. A welcome addition to the kit.

Used it with apple TB to ethernet adapter

I almost didn't buy the control ring adapter, thinking the standard adapter would be sufficient. I'm glad I bought it. I'm a sports photographer. The lighting continually changes as play moves from the sun to shadows, and as night falls at the stadiums. I set up the control ring to adjust ISO. It is so convenient to look through the viewfinder, see I need to adjust the ISO to maintain proper exposure, and then simply turn the dial. All this a fraction of a second. I'm glad I spend the extra $50.

Instead of buying an standard background kit I decided to buy 2 c-stands because they are 100 times more sturdy and you can use them for many other things when you are not using the background like supporting very expensive light. The kits usually come with stands that will not be suitable for holding expensive equipment. The problem of this alternative is that most of the background poles will require extra adapters for the top of the C-stand. This Background pole has a very wide hole that fits perfectly on C-stands. Too bad that it is discontinued.

There's no need for the standard kit. The essentials kit has everything and you just have to buy the cable for your camera. The focus attachment in the standard kit isn't as good as their focus ring adjuster sold separately, so if you need that more manual focus buy the essentials kit and then the focus attachment. You don't need anything else and you'll save hundreds!
