I really these Nikon NC filters - thin mounts, easy to clean glass, lightweight and cheaper then many aftermarket brands. Well worth the investment to protect your lenses. I buy one whenever I buy a new lens.

I make it a habit to buy a NC filter for every Nikon lens I have. If there is a Nikon NC filter available then that's what I buy every time. Nikon filters have never let me down. If you're going to spend several hundred dollars for a great Nikon lens then protect it with a NC filter that Nikon puts its name on rather than a cheaper version. You'll may save a few bucks on the front end but pay in the long run if an accident happens or worse you miss a great shot because the cheaper filter wasn't up to task. Same holds true for ordering from B&H. Both are proven winners.

I buy Nikon Clear NC Filters because I know that I can trust them to not cause much ghosting and flare. There is no color bias. I use Nikon NC filters on all of my lenses. For color balance I use the white balance in my DSLR camera and post edit the colors with Photoshop Elements. By price comparing to other quality filters it is more affordable but it is not inexpensive. It is an excellent product.
