First, have a pair of tweezers or very small pliers on hand. Second, READ THE INSTRUCTIONS. Other than that, it's easy, and solid. NOTE: this is NOT meant to switch between lenses. If you have more than one Nikon/Nikkor lens, buy one for each. Once it's on there, you won't want to remove it. You can, just not very easily. Also, this does NOT support any AF or aperature or any other electronics. Manual only. I don't yet know the weather sealing on it, but I'm not about to test it. I think I'll keep this in the studio. I love being able to use my favorite old Nikkor nifty fifty again! 5 |

This is an excellent, lightweight, small package battery system for the Second Shooter unit. I've purchased 4 direct from the Supplier, as International Shipping of Lithium Batteries is not something that B&H like to get involved in. Noting that other reviewers have had charging-related issues. The instructions for charging are printed quite clearly on the underside of the charger block, but they are a little quirky. You turn the battery on first, then plug the charger into the battery, then you plug the charger into the wall. If you just plug the battery into a live charger, nothing will happen. Quirky, but not the end of the world. Charge time is empty to full in about 3 hours cycle. One charge should last you for many multiaxis timelapse shoots (let's say 10 or so 700-photo lapses). The magnetic attachment system is excellent - easy and very professional-looking. 5 |
