I use this mic to record string and wind (brass mostly) instruments. The different patterns make it effective in a variety of spaces depending on whether you want to reject other sounds or include reflections. Versatile and great sound quality. 5 |

SM57s are THE standard mic for instruments. Of course you can buy specialty mics that sound better on specific instruments. For general stage use, though, you just can't beat a 57. This bundle is a great value. For only $10 more than the mic alone you get a stand (seems decent, if not super sturdy) and a mic cable (too early to tell how long it'll last but seems fine so far). 5 |
