I spent many hours in Fry's Electronics and BestBuy stores listening all kinds of floor standing speakers, trying figure out which of them would fit my budget and my requirements... I am not audiophile, but I appreciate clear sound, and I'd like to hear all instruments. After reading reviews on Yamaha ns-555 speakers I wasn't pretty much sure if I should buy them. Some people say they sound good, some say they lack of lower frequencies... So I decided to give 'em a try. I was planning to buy a subwoofer in case they lack of base sound. I have Yamaha RX-V573 receiver (I know it's old one, but it still fits my needs), and it has bi-amp feature (not bi-wire), and ns555s can be connected in bi-amp schema. So, they arrived, I connected them to receiver, turned the music on and...felt down from coach trying to lower volume and lower base frequencies! Oh, boy! The sound was so loud and so powerfull! I do not know why people complains on lack of base.. they have lots of clear base sound! My Yamaha RX-V573 receiver has adjustable crossover, equalizer, and tone adjustment (high and low frequencies). The lower frequencies were at 0db, I set them on -3.5 db and I still have a lot of base! I set equalizer 400hz to -6db, 160hz to -3db, and 60db to 0 db, and I set crossover to 60hz. And now base guitar and drums sound like in live concert, no barrel echoes! And I do not need subwoofer anymore! :-))) Oh, and, by the way, scene is wide enough - no complains. None of the speakers of this size and price range in the store can beat ns555. I was wondering why this speakers not selling in store? And answer is clear - if people would hear them they wouldn't buy anything else, but ns555s! :-)))) 5 |

I own the Yamaha A-S2100, so why would I buy the A-s801 ? I discovered the sweet mid range of this amplifier, but I discovered how beautiful and full rounded this amplifier is. I am running a pair of Linton 85 anniversary edition, and the sound could not be any sweeter. It drives those speakers with authority and grace. Excellent highs and lows, and to die for mids. Gorgeous in silver, and great remote included. Get it , you will thank yourself later. 5 |

I have a P-115, description said it would fit a 115. Some reviewer said it didn't, decided to buy and see for myself. It definitely does fit . It is made by Yamaha for Yamaha which was important for me. Other bags may fit but piano will slide around in bag. Not the case here it is form fitting with very nice padding and the outside zipper pocket holds power supply, pedal and music stand. Quality purchase. 5 |

I believe Yamaha makes some of the best value mixers on the market today. Yes, you can spend LOTS more money and it does buy you some additional features and more solid construction. For general use for bands, small churches, seminars, etc. though, this mixer is great. The sound is excellent. The faders and knobs do seem a little plasticky, but I've owned a Yamaha MG166CX for close to 10 years with no issues. 5 |

I've worked with many saxophone players and I played woodwind instruments. Not saying that I am an expert but I do have some experience with wind instruments. I am keyboardists with years of working with sampled saxophones. The samples have become better over the years but SWAM physical modeling is superior for duplicating the nuances and articulations of a real sax player. The only weak link is me. I need to think sax and not keyboardist when I use the SWAM plugin. My wife is a musician and when I would try to emulate a sax she would say 'that doesn't sound real'. Then I let her listen to a song with the SWAM Sax she said 'WOW, that's not you you're trying to fool me'. You won't be sorry with the SWAM Sax Virtual Instrument. 5 |

I use it with my iPad for backing tracks for vocal and saxophone solos. It works well and keeps me from having to coordinate with a sound person. I can control volume. 5 |
