Cable Matters Usb Ethernet Adapter Driver

Not much to say, it's a USB to Ethernet adapter. Works exactly like you would want it to.

I needed to attach an Ethernet cable to a MacBook (of course no ports on the MacBook) so I got this with an adapter so I could use the cable and then the adapter with USB to plug into the laptop. Once the correct driver was installed for the MacBook / adapter all worked great. Instructions for all could be better. Thanks to B&H for super advice and support!

I'm using this with my Macbook Air that only has USB-C ports and no ethernet port. This adapter worked right out of the box to give me an ethernet connection. Just plugged the ethernet cable in to the adapter, connected the adapter to the CPU's USB-C port, and my computer connected to my work network flawlessly. The wifi at my work is not great, so this adapter is giving me a fast network connection now through ethernet. I did a speed test and I'm getting approximately 500mbps upload/download speeds with this adapter, which is fantastic. I also appreciate that the adapter has LED indicators. One light shows there is a connection (green). The middle light shows there is power (White/blue). And the 3rd light blinks orange to show there is activity. Having these lights could come in handy if I need to trouble shoot, which is very helpful. The build quality is also really good. This feels like it will last a long time. The cable seems sturdy and the ethernet cable plugs in securely into the adapter's port. Overall, I'm happy with this adapter and it is working very well. The USB-C to Ethernet + Charging adapter charges your connected device while also providing an ethernet connection, so no need for multiple connectors. I have been using this on my Android phone and my laptop, both devices have a USB-C port and my Belkin adapter worked great on both devices. It provided an adequate charge and a stable internet connection without any issues. The adapter was immediately recognized by both devices and there was no need to install any software to make the adapter work. The adapter is also small and portable enough to carry with you anywhere you go. I would highly recommend this adapter to anyone looking for an ethernet + charging adapter.

This adapter works well with Linux, but will require the user to compile the open source driver and install it. Careful instructions are on the web. I use it on a workstation normally attached to ethernet, but occasionally in need of wireless access. Quick speed test on a strong signal was about 250Mbps (650Mbps on ethernet).

The assembly was easy, and the driver installation was easy, and the ethernet cable connection was easy, and paper roll loading was easy, and then the plotting worked well. Only glitch was the driver software creating two printers, and no documentation on which was which (one was ethernet and one was USB).

I was looking for USB to serial adapter which will work under the Windows 7 and this adapter does exactly that. Even better - Windows 7 already has built-in driver for this adapter!

I replaced a previous VAVA adapter because it was dropping the ethernet connection. This one does not have that issue. It has one less USB connection, but that is not an issue for me.

My laptop doesn't have an ethernet port. This USB adapter is a great solution.
