Cable Modem Hit By Lightning

I was having poor connection with my cable companies modem and router I finally hit the bullet and switched to my own. This has been the best switch I’ve made in a long time. I have service throughout my entire house with no issues. Net gear has always been the best.

This is our second Netgear modem. Our other modem was struck by lightning. Went back with another Netgear because it’s very reliable.

Modem lightning fast and fairly easy to set up. Tech help was very helpful.

It has done all that I was looking for in a cable modem and a little bit more.

I have owned Synology Products for many years. Recently a very old 2 drive unit (could be 216) stopped working. I was not surprised because the home was hit by lightning and the damage was in the thousands of dollars to many of the electronics in the home. I was very concerned that my 15 licenses would no longer be useable as the nas was hit by the lightning strike. In addition, the nas had been working at nearly 100% for the previous 4 years as it was literaly being overwhelmed by the cameras. The new Nas running 16 cameras uses about 24% of the resources. As a file server, the reason I purchased a second one of these units, it is holding 25 years of memeries once stored in about 40 hard drives. I love rthe product and most importantly, I TRUST the product

Bought this to replace same model that was hit by lightning. Very easy to set up except for xfinity walled garden that did not work. A short conversation with them and it was up and running. 28 channels down and three up

This thing is just extraordinary! The first major photo I took with this lens was a bolt of lightning that hit near by. It totally distorted the plasma bolts. WOW! A lens of this type has it's applications for sure. Yet when it does it, it does it really really well... Money well spent.

I live on a mountain ridge that frequently gets hit by lightning. I used these cables to replace Cat5 cables that had damaged other attached equipment from lightning induced current. I hope the shielding in these cables will prevent them from conducting current induced by nearby lightning. These cables appear to be well built and top quality. I wish I had these type cables when I built my house.

We have used these for a long time had to replace one that got hit by lightning and ordered a few for backup. We have a 6.6 mile ptp bridge for internet and works as described and have not compliaints about this unit. Easy to set up
