Cable To Wireless Router Adapter

We have a n router, not an AC standard router, but, compared to the adapter built into our relatively new laptop, the wireless download speed increased from about 20 Mbps to 36. Our hard wired service from Comcast into the router is about 85-90 Mbps so there is speed loss in wireless, but it's much less with this adapter than the one that is built into our Dell laptop. Plus, if we ever buy a new router, (and possible upgrade our Comcast internet service), we may be able to take advantage of the higher AC band speed. 5 |

Using this with NEC NP-M352WS 3500-Lumen Portable Short Throw DLP Projector. Powerpoint slides are about 1 second delayed. No audio via the wireless adapter. However, I am happy with the device for my purposes. I also use a hard wire for audio/video usage. After the second round of ordering, receiving, and returning the first order of the projector and this adapter, an with level II NEC tech support, I am finally able to get the devices to work together. Also, I am not going to be using this on a wireless network/router, but through the Easy Connection option (no router present at installation). It came down to one simple operation (from Mac OS 6.8): Before starting the process below, you will need to get the wireless IP address of the projector. Mine was 10.0.39.155. -click on the wireless icon at the top of the screen -click on Open Network Preferences -click on Advanced -click on TCP/IP tab -change the Configure IPv4 setting to Manually -change the IPv4 Address: to something close to your video projector's (my instance: 10.0.39.160) -click OK and then Apply Don't forget to reverse this setting when you're done using the wireless adapter in order to connect to the internet normally. Hope this helps. 5 |

For $25, immaculate wireless adapter. I am using this for my gaming computer upstairs and across the house from my router. Still able to pull 280-360 down/15-30 up - and that's on a 2.4Hz connection. That's absurd for a $25 wireless adapter. Very pleased with the purchase so far! 5 |

Speeds on the network seem fantastic after dumping my cable provider router! Both wireless and wired! 5 |

Upon doing a lot of research between other cable modem/router combos, I finally decided the Netgear Nighthawk AC1900 was the best selection to fit my needs. I live in a home that is 1850 square ft and the wireless coverage reaches in all areas of the entire house with no problem as I performed multiple speed tests and the results were very consistent throughout. The setup through the router setup management interface was seamless and very user friendly. I was able to set up my 2.4Ghz, 5 GHz, and guest wireless networks in 3 minutes. I also like the fact that you can set parental controls to manage usage time and block inappropriate websites. The Netgear ReadyShare Vault is extremely handy for me so that I can share movies, pictures, and files across the network. Overall, I would highly recommend this product! 5 |

This cable modem and wireless router is the way to go! Much better than my old setup with the cable company that I had to put a wireless router behind. It eliminated many problems and I no longer have to trouble shoot between the two of them. One device and is providing me with faster internet and wireless speeds, this modem/router is the way to go for any cable user. 5 |

I have a CM1000 for over a tear now it is paired with a R6700 V2 wireless router. The combination works very well with the cable access, The only problems are with the cable company. I average 8 connections on the router with two being wireless. The wireless is almost as fast as the wired on average throughout the house. I thought about upgrading to a CM1100 or CM1200 and could not see any advantage in doing so at this time. I would recommend if buying a new router go for the AX versions they are will worth the cost. pair them up with a cm1000 and 1GB internet service. 5 |

This product has increased the speed and coverage throughout the house. No more dropped wireless as the old router from cable company did. Been working great as described. 5 |

I replace my Cox cable modem and wireless router with Netgear. The signal strength throughout my 2200 sqft house is great. I can even connect my outdoor TV to the internet now. I get the same speed on wireless as I do with the computer plugged into the internet. Great products. 5 |
