I am a professional engineering consultant and I do a lot of camera photography as well. I needed a backpack instead of a briefcase. I searched high and low for all sorts of camera bags but none could offer a sweet spot to serve as a dual camera bag and office bag backpack. Many camera bags would focus too heavily on camera gear and little on business functionality. I have very high end and expensive professional camera gear but only use four prime lenses. After much thought and deliberation, I decided to change my focus from trying to find a camera bag that does business to finding a business bag that I can also use for my camera gear. Equipped with some lens pouches, I can securely place my expensive camera gear in my backpack and have all the functionality of a mobile office as well. The Samsonite Openroad backpack does not disappoint and I have already bought the 15.6 inch backpack as well as the larger 17.3 inch backpack. Love it, Love it, Love it. I hope Samsonite keeps this functional and comfortable to carry Openroad backpack in their line up for many years to come as I have referred many to buy this well made backpack. Good job Samsonite !!!! Thank you.... 5 |

I wish I'd gotten it sooner! I'm a professional wedding photographer and have been lugging my gear in a backpack for years, and finally decided I'd had enough and ordered this rolling bag. I've only used it for one wedding so far, but it was great! It fit my 2 camera bodies (canon r5 and 5diii) as well as 5 lenses, 1 flash and extra batteries. It doesn't have as many pockets as my old bag so I may have to invest in a separate battery holder. The wheels worked great, the handle worked great. Full disclosure, I haven't tried the backpack attachments yet, or the laptop pocket. I used that pocket to hold my camera harness. Using I felt so professional and much more relaxed than I have shooting a wedding in a long time. My only complaint - I wish there was a pocket suitable for a water bottle! 5 |

Exactly what I needed! I traveled to Israel last year and it looked like the good people of TSA in JFK New York went out of their way to abuse my camera bag. I was surprised my camera was still working when I got to Tel-Aviv. I have to also say that returning from Israel the Customs agent over there was very delicate and respectful of my gear, and asked me to open my bag and turn the camera on. Ok, I know that has nothing to do with the review but if you go thru JFK this is the case you need. It is built like an Abrams tank, and I am confident my gear is protected in there. It's a bit on the heavy side but that's ok, the wheels are super smooth and you can drag it along any surface. So with some luck I will run into those TSA guys from New York so they can attempt to smash my camera case and it could fall on their foot and crush it. I'm just saying!!!! Get this case you will feel invincible, even in New York. 5 |

I sometimes use this for a small camera bag but mostly use it as a general backpack. 5 |

This backpack holds everything I need so I only need one bag when I need to take my laptop. I like the gray material...it looks nice/professional, but doesn't stand out. My husband will even carry it, if needed. Has just the right amount of pockets and padding for protection, but doesn't feel bulky. 5 |

This thing is fantastic! I would like to see it with an outside pocket for the clear TSA bag though. Other than that it's perfect. 5 |

I was looking for a TSA approved backpack that was roomy and protective. I also wanted one that could accommodate two laptops. This fits the bill. Tons of pockets. Comfy too. 5 |

I travel with 2 laptops and was looking for a backpack that was TSA friendly without sacrificing other features. I used my new backpack for the first time last week. It breezed through security without the screener even stopping the conveyer belt. I was able to fit some clothes in the main compartment and computer cords/chargers in another one. When I got home, I could find my keys easily. It's a great design. 5 |
