Perfect bag for a casual photographer with a DSLR on the go. Not roomy enough for lots of equipment, but perfect to store camera and various sundries like wallet, travel guide, kindle, etc. Love that it doesn't look like a camera bag and that it functions like a purse! Pros may find this too limiting, but perfect for the rest of us.

I was able to fashion this photo filter onto my DSLR camera and the results were excellent.

I have been using Pentax cameras for forty years, and have been using Pentax DSLRs since the *ist. I have both the K3 and K1 in first gen iterations, and now this. This is the apex of Pentax DSLRs. To start with, it produces the best color of any Pentax DSLR. And it does so right up to ISO 6400, which is fully usable with no processing. With additional noise reduction, ISO 25600 is now usable. Then there's resolution. Paired with the 100mm macro, the resolution of the smallest detail is incredible, besting even the K1. Dynamic range is the best yet on a Pentax, so much that I have basically switched from five shot brackets to three, using 0.7 step brackets. Every type of photography comes out well, whether the aforementioned macro photography, or super-wide using a 10mm (Sigma in this case), a trusty 17-70 in standard range, or the mighty and wonderful 150-450 beast, with responsive super-telephotography the reward. (Focus is fast and accurate.) And with new system settings, ancient K mount lenses can be used without a misstep. (Not that the optical designs are optimized for digital.) The camera handles wonderfully. After a few hours of futzing around and setting all the controls the way I want, including setting the five custom settings, I ended up basically where I was with the K1, but that's fine since that makes it easy to switch back and forth and not miss a step. The new autofocus options took the longest to get used to - maybe a couple hours while shooting - but now they are easy to use, with the joystick a great little feature. When paired with the battery grip, which is more or less a must have, the camera balances perfectly and can shoot forever. I'm only about a thousand shots in right now, and have ample juice left. I assume this is the last Pentax DX DSLR, and if so, Pentax has built a magnificent final camera. If not, and more come later, all the better, because this camera shows that progress can be had in all areas at once.

This bag is great for casual day use if you plan on carrying your DSLR and not packing it in the bag. The bag will carry two lenses without body, wallet, cell phone, and other odds and ends such as spare batteries or flash in the end pockets. This is a great light use bag -not big enough to cause neck or shoulder strain after a day of walking, and it can double as a day bag when not in use for camera gear. I used it walking around Baltimore for a few days, and it was perfect for the trip.

This camera was my first DSLR, and it's a great camera for the casual photographer who's sick and tired of sub-par photos from a cheap point and shoot. That was me until I got the Pentax K-x. I also considered the Nikon D90 and Canon T2i, but ultimately settled on the Pentax because (a) I don't have any compatible lenses for the other cameras in the family, and (b) the price point was just right. You might spend a little more on batteries in the long run, but the convenience of AA is really nice to have. I've taken several hundred photos over the past 2 weeks (some with flash, most without) and my camera is still showing a full charge. I haven't yet had a chance to explore some of the camera's more advanced features, but I can say that the ones I've used (exposure bracketing, for instance) works really well. Some people have complained about the lack of AF indicators in the viewfinder. I haven't found this to be an issue yet, although I can imagine it would be nice to have.

Maybe not a great fashion choice, but slap on a DSLR and you get a better POV shot than your action camera will give you. Be careful though, your vision will be impaired using this.

I love this lens. It has become my go to lens for fashion studio shooting. This is not a lens for the casual shooter. While it will give awesome results for anyone who wants to spend big bucks for some awesome glass, this is a lens for the more serious shooter. The bokeh is creamy smooth and the super fine definition shown on whatever the subject is, is a dream come true. If you can afford this lens, and you shoot portrait or midrange work, don't overlook this lens.
