Cakewalk Pizzicato Strings Studio Instruments

I will be using this for recording vocals, instruments (bass, trumpet, guitar, sax) and synth (strings, piano, etc.). Having tried it on synth samples thus far, it adds a mellowing and pleasing analog feel to the recording quality. Excellent manufacturing and presentation.

SM57 doesn't need recomendation! Indispensable in a studio to use with amps and instruments.

Great right out of box...download the instructions to set to strobes and a cakewalk from there.

Not too painful to setup with Cakewalk, took some time but works great now. Compact and lightweight.

This is a great mic for both vocals and instruments. I record in my little studio and it sounds as nice as my old U87i.

I use the mic to record vocals and instruments in my home studio. The pros are clear and accurate recording. No cons found yet.

The goods: The sound is very detailed and instruments sound very real, as a good Studio Monitor should be. Also, I am glad that the bass is more pronounced than I expected without being overwhelming. Its plastic but it seems well made and durable. All 3 cables provided make this a very practical headphone, I have the short cable for the computer and the cellphone, and the long cable for the receiver in the family room. I don't have use for the third cable tough. The bad: There is no so much soundstage. I hear this is a problem with most closed headphones, but I don't have other high quality headphones to compare. Pads get warm sometimes.

Such a clear, crisp sound.  Excellent for my recording studio for vocals and acoustic instruments.  Love it.

I bought my first unit just for my studio audio components-- my audio interfaces, effects boxes, and instruments. The line noise is greatly reduced- no hiss! I believe I will be buying further units for my computers and hard drives.

I have a project studio and record primarily acoustic instruments (Guitar, piano, various stringed instruments, hand percussion and vocals etc) Already own a set of Neumann KM 184's and an AKG C214 Large Diaphragm but have always had a fondness for the AKG small diaphragm sound ever since I started out years ago with a Vienna made C1000 (which I still have and love). I wanted another small diaphragm option and the 451's deliver big time. To be totally non technical I would describe the AKG's sound as open and airy especially on fingerstyle acoustic guitar. I tell people think of the old Windham Hill guitar sound. (yes I know they used Neumann's too). You will not go wrong with this mic if you play acoustic music.
