Tax free I'm free

After years of not taking photos I have found the perfect partner for a return to creating images. The well balanced and well sized camera makes photography as easy and exciting as it was decades ago. The initial results are delightful and encouraging. The images and connectivity features make this a dream camera.

I purchased this lens to go with my D810. After going back a forth between this and the 16-35mm, I decided to return this 35mm without taking it out of the box. The reason? I was still looking for another wide(r) angle lens and decided that the 16-35 would probably cover most of my needs in a single package. True, it's a f/4, but with the lower noise capability (and higher res) in the D810 and the VR in the 16-35, I didn't feel like I was giving up much. About the only thing I missed was the capability to shallow focus with the f/1.8. This lens is extremely sharp and I wish I kept it as well, but I could not afford both right now. It's a trade.... I'll probably save up and get the 24mm f/1.4G at a later date because of the reviews and smaller size
