Calculate Construction Cost By S Curve

I have tried reversing rings on manual bodies in the past and while they are cost effective, they are inconvenient to use since you have to calculate the exposure manually. This extension tube is simple to use but brings the photo so much closer, which is great not only for insects, praying mantids, etc., but for getting closeups of childrens' faces. I should have spent the money years ago. 5 |

The learning curve is easier than i thought. This product seems to be well funcional. Great cost/benefit. 5 |

Best construction cost money and it is worth it. This is much better than the aluminum ones. 5 |

Sturdy construction and swivel-tilt LCD make this a keeper. It takes a little learning curve to master all of the available settings but well worth the time. The color and clarity is superb with fast lenses. It has a nice weight and works well on mono or tripod. 5 |

Overall, I am very happy with this extension tube especially since I did not need to by a Macro lens to start shooting macro shots. If you are not sure macro is your thing but want to give it a try then this extension tube is the best and most cost effective way to do that. There is a slight learning curve to focusing because the DOF will shift somewhat unpredictably at first. Now these do not work ideally with every lens as some previous users might think. So far, they work really well with the 28-135mm (prime lens) and the 50mm (nifty fifty) lens. I have shot several shots already and I am having a blast using these tubes. Note you can try autofocus and the camera will try to find it but it is not very consistent so, just use manual focus and you will get more consistent focusing. I bought this and used it with the EF 25II to double the strength and the work well together. Lighting will be one of your biggest challenges when doing macro work however; I just used my 430 EXII bumped down two stops and it works just fine as a fill light. Again, if you are looking for a low cost alternative to trying out macro work without buying an expensive macro lens then buy this. You won't be disappointed and you will be glad you only spent a hundred dollars verses a thousand. Everything has a learning curve so be prepared to learn and get some surprising results. 5 |

A solid performer considering the cost. Yes, a somewhat flat response curve, but isn't that what you want from a negative? I use it for my kids. 5 |

I only used it for a few weeks. But I was very impressed by this low cost fisheye lens on my Z7. I was able to get very sharp photos with the lens wide opened. The curve distortion was fun to work with. I ended up correcting only half of my photos in Lightroom, and leaving the other half with the curve effect. Sun flare was the only concern I have. I have learned to pay attention to them in view finder, and tried to avoid or keep them. Watch out to not include your own feet in photos. :) 5 |
