Calculate Pc Power Requirements

Crucial memory module fits the original design requirements of my pc without any problem. Performance is great so far. I would recommend for desktop pc applications. Price is reasonable.

I have always constructed my PCs according to what my requirements are. Over the years I had accumulated a number of old drives that I could not bring myself to throw away. I also spend a fair bit of time removing or fitting hard disk drives to meet particular requirements. I receive 'Custom PC' monthly and last month's issue contained mention of a device that would enable access to data on older IDE HDDs through the USB3 ports on newer PCs (also handling newer SATA drives as well). This adapter from Startech has, at a stroke, removed much of the hassle and fiddle when trying to utilise data from an older HDD on a newer PC. Thank you Startech a long awaited tool for all PC builders and - dare I say 'Nerds'. Great bit of kit that will see a lot of use in the future.

Like many, my prior PC and mobo didn't make the Win11 h/w-firmware requirements cut. So I set out to find a medium priced system configuration that would be Win11 compliant and hopefully gain in system performance. One of the needs I had was for a CPU that also had integral graphics capability like my previous Intel Core i7-4790K (a great processor for desktops in its day). I was initially put off by AMD chips for lacking integral graphics. But the recent G models nixed that concern. I then did a price/performance check of AMD vs. Intel to find a middle-of-the-road solution. The AMD RYZEN 5 5660G kept appearing as a very competitive processor for both price and performance. Furthermore, the power consumption is much lower than comparable Intel CPUs. With all of that, I decided on the RYZEN 5 5600G for my first AMD-based PC build. The 5600G is paired with an ASUS TUF Gaming x570-PRO mobo with 32GB memory. This configuration meets the requirements for Win11 and exceeds my expectations. I'm not looking back. A good choice for my office desktop computing needs.

I originally ordered memory that was incompatible with my PC. I phoned B&H and they got the right product to fill my requirements. The Rep..working from his home gave me options on different brands I never considered. I've been dealing with B&H since the late 70's when I was living in Japan. In my eyes a very trusted company that if they don't have it they don't make it. Go NEW YORK STRONG!!

The case meets all expectations and requirements. I got this case for my 1st ever PC build and with all the ease of access and pass throughs it made it a lot easier for cable management. Well constructed an looks good too.

Cameras have weird power requirements, but once you reconcile with that, this is a flawless link in the chain.

I am using this with a Tivo Bolt. It is mounted outside of the Tivo case since the case only has room for a 2.5 drive, which failed. This drive has low power requirements, runs quietly and only gets slightly warm to the touch, even without a fan.
