The motorized head requires a specific voltage and current and it's not easy to find. So this power supply is probably your best bet. It just works perfectly with the motorized head and you know it's providing the correct supply, so you can have peace of mind. Construction of the power supply seems to be above average in terms of quality. 5 |

I purchased this power supply to power up the STM-1. Just be aware that you have to cut the DC plug end off to connect it to the STM products. I used my VOM to make sure I had polarity correct and then wired it to the STM-1. If you look at the STM-1, and possible the other STM products, this power supply gives the full voltage for the preamp to work at the designed level. If you use a power supply less than what this supplies, the STM does not provide as much of a preamplified signal. Work fine. Get it if you do already have another voltage source for the STM products. 5 |
