Got this for a new Caldigit TS4. Turns out Caldigit ships with a Thunderbolt 4 cable. Now I have a spare. 5 |

For my new MacBook Pro M1, I first tried purchasing Caldigit's new Element Thunderbolt 4 hub. It was nothing but an endless kernel panic with the M1 chip. Caldigit implied that was Apple's fault for their implementation of Thunderbolt 4 ports, but I didn't let them make me stick around long enough to sort out who's fault it was. I returned it, and bought this OWC one and it's been SO much better! No panics yet, sleep works fine, everything returns from sleep (whereas Caldigit's would consider my Pegasus2 RAID an erroneous disconnection everytime it slept), and it's actually really nice having SPDIF (digital) audio out, ethernet, and the card readers. I wish this had one more thunderbolt port out, but then again, I could still daisy chain a couple of my thunderbolt devices no problem. So far so great for this OWC 14-port T3 dock. 5 |

The USB cable is about 2m (6ft); I wish it was a bit longer (eg, 3m). 5 |

3' is a short cable Although this does work well. 5 |

I needed to find a way to interface a large array of devices to my main laptop without using a lot of ports to deal with the lack of ports on new machines. After quite a bit of research, I found this CalDigit TS3 Plus that taps the Thunderbolt 3 port on my computer. It is not inexpensive. Nevertheless, I must say it has performed very well for me. I moved a large USB hub that has all my interface devices like keyboard, mouse, webcam, printers, etc. from a USB port on the computer to the CalDigit. I also moved two external USB hard drives, along with my audio output to desktop speakers and a USB high end audio interface. Every device but one printer moved successfully to the new CalDigit by simply plugging in the devices. That printer had to be reinstalled on the new USB port (through CalDigit). I was worried about the bandwidth, but the CalDigit seems to manage the Thunderbolt interface so that multiple devices can share the Thunderbolt bandwidth at the same time without interfering with each other. It also provides charging capability, but I need my regular power block since my laptop needs more current than the CalDigit provides for charging. However, there has not been any conflict between the power block and the CalDigit link for powering. I conclude that this is a very good dock for modern computers with Thunderbolt 3 ports but few others that connect to a lot of external devices. It has performed flawlessly, and was very easy to set up. While I did not run formal tests, it appears to effectively share the Thunderbird bandwidth. Just want one needs in a dock. Definitely recommended. 5 |

I've had many different Thunderbolt docks and CalDigit is the best hands down. Other manufacturers always seem to have small issues (e.g. random device disconnects, insufficient device power, etc) 5 |

This is my first review I have ever written (buying computers sine the 1970's), and only because this CalDigit Element is so good I was compelled to write. I have a new Dell XPS 15 inch 9530. I had options of purchasing the Dell WD22TB4 hub (made for this laptop) or getting the CalDigit. After doing a lot of research I choose the CalDigit because of the vast amount of thunderbolt ports. My Dell laptop had some issues like 4 motherboard replacements, 3 speaker replacements, one screen replacement and one keyboard (ALL IN THE FIRST YEAR). I was hesitant to buy another Dell product. I have my OEM Dell power adapter plugged into the USB-C (right side) to power the laptop because the CalDigit only delivers 60 watts which is no problem. The laptop understands which power to use. What do I gain from this decision. I have 3 empty Thunderbolt 4 ports on the CalDigit and one Thunderbolt 4 port on the laptop free (the other TB4 is used to connect the CalDigit). So I end up with: 4 Thunderbolt 4 ports free 4 USB - A (10 gb) available I have the best of both types of ports. I rather make my own decision as to what the port does instead of a hub having only a set determined specific device ports. This unit out performs any hub I have ever had. In fact the CalDigit's construction is amazingly well built and looks good. 5 |

The TS4 Thunderbolt 4 18-in-1 hub is my second CalDigit product. I work as a music editor for films and TV and I have a myriad of devices that need to be connected to my new MacBook Pro. I can say, resolutely, that the 18-in-1 hub is THE answer for all of my needs. This is a very well thought out device, and well worth the wait if you're having any issues in procuring one. B&H kept me informed, and when it came in, I jumped at it. So glad I did. 5 |

The CalDigit TS4 Thunderbolt 4 18-in-1 Hub is exactly as advertised. I read many reviews on different hubs and docking stations, this product always came out on top. I'm glad I spent the extra money, it does exactly what it's supposed to do with out any set up issues. Now I have only one Thunderbolt 4 cable plugged into my MacBook Pro that takes care of EVERYTHING! B&H is excellent to deal with, fair prices, in stock merchandise and FAST shipping! 5 |

The CalDigit TS3Plus-US20-SG is the perfect solution to my tangle of cables. It does everything that it is advertised to do and does it flawlessly. I am running a 4K monitor at 60 Hz with no issues, And almost every other port is in use. This review comes with only one caveat: like most thunderbolt docks, when you plug a USB 3.0 hub into one of the USB 3.0 ports of the CalDigit TS3Plus-US20-SG, peripherals that are connected to the USB hub do not work well. You should continue to plug your USB hub directly into your computer if you have more than the seven USB peripherals that this dock supports directly! Since this is a known issue with thunderbolt docks, it does not detract from the five star rating! 5 |
