Caldigit Ts3 Lite Thunderbolt 3 Docking Station Review

Both the CalDigit TS3 and TS4 thunderbolt docks are fantastic but if you don't need the added speeds of the USB or TB4 ports, the TS3 is a fatastic value. It allows me to connect all my accessories and display to one device with a quick and easy one cable connection to my macbook. Inputs on the front of the unit are very handy especially the SD card reader.

I have bought 7 of the TS3+ so far and would recommend it to anyone looking for a TB3 docking station. In one setup, it is solely connected to a Mac Book Pro via one TB3 cable and drives two 4k displays from it (one DP, one via the second TB3 port). I am also using it with a Dell U4919DW. And one setup has it connected to a Mac Pro via TB2.

The CalDigit TS4 Thunderbolt 4 18-in-1 Hub is exactly as advertised. I read many reviews on different hubs and docking stations, this product always came out on top. I'm glad I spent the extra money, it does exactly what it's supposed to do with out any set up issues. Now I have only one Thunderbolt 4 cable plugged into my MacBook Pro that takes care of EVERYTHING! B&H is excellent to deal with, fair prices, in stock merchandise and FAST shipping!

It is very easy to use and is plug and play. Plug it into an outlet, dock host, and then connect the peripherals. It has an amazing amount of ports. The extra storage and power charging is an added bonus!

My old Thunderbolt cable sheathing was coming apart at the end and wasn't long enough for me to place my docking station back behind my monitors like I wanted. This Belkin cable solves both of those problems, and provides 100W power delivery, where my old cable only gave me 40W. I really like the high power rating, as it allows my laptop to charge up much faster. This cable is super long, roughly 6ft, and has a very premium build quality feel to it. I love using Thunderbolt cables as they really declutter my workspace and make docking and undocking my laptop as simple as plugging in a cable. This is hands-down the best Thunderbolt cable I've owned!

Using this docking station with my Dell XPS15. One Thunderbolt connection is now all I need to have my laptop connected to two QHD monitors (one of them widescreen), desktop speakers, keyboard/mouse, and a backup hard drive. That still leaves a few ports available for additional accessories. The only thing that would possibly make this dock better would be the SD card readers that some other brands include. It's nice to be able to just unplug one connection to go portable - and plug back in for a desktop-like experience. So far, I'm very pleased with my purchase.

This is a lot zippier than my MacBook pro. I paired it with a Thunderbolt 4 docking station, because the ports are limited. The docking station has a SSD, which expands the storage of the Mini.

This Apple Thunderbolt 2 cable, was the cable needed to connect an older desktop MacPro(late 2013) computer to a OWC Thunderbolt 3 docking station(note: a Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) to Thunderbolt 2 adaptor is needed to connect the computer to a Thunderbolt 3 docking station.
