Calibre 225 Stereo Receiver Only Left Channel Working

I am using MSH-6 on both H6 and F1. It works like it has 3 capsules inside. F1 will always do onboard mid-side processing with configurable 0 to 150 degree at 30-degree interval. This is similar to stereo mode in H6. However, F1 does not support RAW mode. H6 supports both stereo mode (onboard processing) and RAW mode. Either mode, it will record as 2-channel with support of backup channels. With stereo mode, you can configure the side mic level (side off, or from -24 to +6). If your sound source is on the left side of H6, you will hear it on the left channel. If it is on the right side, you will hear it on the right channel. So, you are mixing 3 ways (left/right/mid) into a 2-channel file. With RAW mode, H6 will record mid to left channel, and side to right channel. This means, if you have a sound source on the left side of H6, it will be mixed into the right channel. If your sound source is on the right side, it will also be mixed into the right channel. This is true mid-side processing, a mono-compatible stereo image. Both stereo and RAW mode works slightly differently. And I think this is great because Zoom put 2 types of microphones in a single package. You can record a wide image in RAW mode but losing the true left/right. Or you can record a true stereo image with left/right, without the ability of postprocessing.

Decided to get back into basic 2 channel stereo as my wave radio just couldn’t get it done. Took the plunge, picked up this receiver and two of the Sony 3 way bookshelf speakers. Wow the power and clarity from the Bluetooth streaming is amazing. Needless to say a CD player and a phono ( which each exceeded the price of the speakers and this receiver) were quickly added on. If your looking to get back into vinyl or just enjoy CDs or streaming to the Bluetooth you can’t go wrong with this receiver.

I needed a quick fix for a 35 year old 2 channel stereo receiver that was getting older. I went for this Sony and I'm very satisfied that I did. It stepped right in where the old Denon left off. It has all that I need for music listening. Set up was straightforward and it plays just wonderfully through the Polk Bookshelves and Subwoofer. I'm not a dedicated audiophile, but this receiver with its specs and pricing makes me very happy. I would not hesitate to purchase this receiver again. It does the job very efficiently.

The PPA R37 worked exactly as promised. It took less than 1 min. to get the receiver on channel and working with our church sound system. Easy setup procedure and a great sounding receiver.
