Cambridge Audio Solo

I used the amp to replace a connect and Cambridge Audio amplifier and it has breathed new life into the sound output of the speakers. Depth and complexity are now very much enhanced so much so that I want to listen to my entire catalog again to hear the bits I've been missing!

Hooked up to a pair of Klipsch RP-280F speakers and a Cambridge Audio CXC CD transport (the A-S801 has a built in DAC). Very nice sounding, plenty of power. I've always preferred knobs over buttons for volume, tone controls, and input selection. The only thing I would have liked would have been VU meters, like on the higher end Yamahas. Glad it came in silver, it's a nice looking piece of gear.

This replaced my 18 year old Cambridge Audio pre-amp/amp setup. Spent time debating between pre-amp/amp vs integrated amp and then this vs Marantz PM8006. Finally settled with this due to features and price point. I use this mainly to listen to Vinyl collection but now also have my old Cambridge Audio CD connected to Optical and love the DAC on this amp. Phono amp is outstanding and sound quality is just amazing. Bluetooth is also helpful for streaming from your smart phone. I have old pioneer Elite Tape deck connected and this has got live back into the old tapes. Only negative is that this in not Made in UK or Europe but is made in China but build quality is solid.

Very good speakers for my PC, they are paired with Cambridge DACmagic, and there is certainly a difference in sound from PC audio. Cons: are that the volume knob/ on switch is on the back.

Super easy to setup. Replaced my Cambridge Audio streamer and seperate amp and $2000 speakers. And it sounds better!!

Works like a dream with my Cambridge audio receiver bought in 2011. A great receiver, on which I can now play all the music on my iPhone and iPad. An incredible bargain. One-minute installation.

Often am solo out in the world doing interviews, and this little guy helps me get clean audio on my wireless lav setup. Usually stick it on the chest, but clothes work too. I squeezed my Sennheiser MKE 2 into it the first time I used it, but now am using it with the Deity Pro mic it's recommended (but the MKE 2 did fit, although quite snugly).

I purchased this to upgrade my Universal audio solo 610 It' huge different warmer, clearer at any range. Very happy with this purchased

I'm often solo when doing interviews with my C200, and anything that makes the audio setup/part of my day easier is a win. I've used these 4 times so far and they have stuck great. I even had to relocate one on a subject during an interview because of their necklace, and it stuck great. Highly recommend.
