Cambridge Vermont Weather Underground

Can't beat the price, and even in Vermont the gloves hold up to the weather. Couple that with the ability to use the smartphone (iPhone for me) without removing gloves and it's a win all around! 5 |

I replaced my old Cambridge Soundworks bi/dipolar speakers that were just not doing it for me. Old and tired. These speakers are wonderful. I was waffling between the 800 & 1000s, glad I opted for the larger speaker. I highly recommend these. They look great on my sturdy Sanus EFSat speaker stands. 5 |

I bought these to replace my 18 year old Cambridge Soundworks Newton Series M80 three-way speakers with 8 inch woofers, because I had grown dissatisfied with their high frequency response and clarity. These don’t go as low as they did, but I now have an excellent RSL sub to cover that. I am now hearing cymbals and other high frequency instruments with amazing clarity. If you like bass-heavy music or play movie sound, you will probably want a sub. I am driving them with an 80 WPC Onkyo receiver which will play them plenty loud. Unless you spend more than $600/pair, I don’t think you will get anything significantly better. 5 |

I used the amp to replace a connect and Cambridge Audio amplifier and it has breathed new life into the sound output of the speakers. Depth and complexity are now very much enhanced so much so that I want to listen to my entire catalog again to hear the bits I've been missing! 5 |

Hooked up to a pair of Klipsch RP-280F speakers and a Cambridge Audio CXC CD transport (the A-S801 has a built in DAC). Very nice sounding, plenty of power. I've always preferred knobs over buttons for volume, tone controls, and input selection. The only thing I would have liked would have been VU meters, like on the higher end Yamahas. Glad it came in silver, it's a nice looking piece of gear. 5 |

My Cambridge AXR85 has Bluetooth but for some reason was always cutting out and didn't really sound that great. Took a chance to see how this tiny box works and was immediately impressed. Much more range, fast connect and easy to use. 1 button to turn on and it connects right away with amazing sound. 5 |

This replaced my 18 year old Cambridge Audio pre-amp/amp setup. Spent time debating between pre-amp/amp vs integrated amp and then this vs Marantz PM8006. Finally settled with this due to features and price point. I use this mainly to listen to Vinyl collection but now also have my old Cambridge Audio CD connected to Optical and love the DAC on this amp. Phono amp is outstanding and sound quality is just amazing. Bluetooth is also helpful for streaming from your smart phone. I have old pioneer Elite Tape deck connected and this has got live back into the old tapes. Only negative is that this in not Made in UK or Europe but is made in China but build quality is solid. 5 |

This radio replaced my Cambridge Soundworks unit made by strangely enough the same guys making the Tivoli. For such a small. compact unit, the sound quality is excellent. The bass is outstanding. The tuning dial is old school -- not digital-- you may fine tune your station until it is solidly locked in. The cabinet is solid wood ( I purchased the cherry wood). I use it in my bathroom to catch up on morning sports and news and, when I am in the mood, music. It handles all sound modes well. This is not a light weight unit. It is Rock Solid. I highly recommend. 5 |

Very good speakers for my PC, they are paired with Cambridge DACmagic, and there is certainly a difference in sound from PC audio. Cons: are that the volume knob/ on switch is on the back. 5 |
