Camcorder With External Microphone

It works great. I've always wanted an external microphone for my camcorder but my camcorder did not support an external microphone. So...I bought a new camcorder that supported an external microphone. Both were less expensive than I thought, thanks to B&H Camera. I am not a professional, I just take videos of events that occur in the retirement home where I live and the camera and Azden SMX-10 Stereo Microphone is quite adequate - I love it.

After recording a choir in a church, it became evident that for better music recording I needed an external microphone. I purchased the DM-100 which easily attaches to the top of the camcorder. The microphone made all the difference in the sound. The picture quality is excellent in good light situations. The quality declines slightly in situations where light is dim. Transferring video segments to my computer was a snap using an SD card. Battery life is very good, a real 90 minutes. If you intend to record more than 90 minutes, you need to purchase an additional battery. It takes about two hours to recharge the battery through the camera (no external charger comes in the box). Overall a great camcorder, small, light and easy to use. Only challenge is learning the touchscreen, but otherwise easy to operate.

I like the adapter just for the simple fact I can use my external microphone but I don’t like that the adapter is so big just for an adapter.

external changer for canon camcorder battery is very good to use, fast charge, wonder why they are not included in the camcorder.

Not too much to say but they work as advertised. They fit perfectly in my camcorder and my microphone. The ends are well made and they seem durable.
