Camera Backpack Nyc

I have a backpack for my primary camera, lens, and flash. However, I've begun shooting video w/my Fujifilm X-T3 and needed another bag to carry video lighting devices, audio gear, light stands, tripod and extra lens. This bag fit all of my needs and is very convenient when taking the NYC subway too. As I go back and fourth between DC and NYC, it is very convenient tone able to grab my bags and go! ☺️ 5 |

After years of being an NYC audio tech with a backpack, I'm happy to have this case. However, I can only justify using it while traveling or on massive jobs. Regardless, the air is really light and sleek. The lid organizer and 2 pouches managed to keep my loose backpack bits way more organized than I expected and have room for way more. 5 |

I love this backpack and the wallet is phenomenal. I travel to NYC every week and this bag has made my travel more convenient, it is comfortable to pack around the city, travel through airport security and on the plane is easy and it fits well under the seat. I love it! 5 |

After consulting with the best camera store in Charlottesville (Pro Camera) on how to find a replacement lamp for my ancient Kodak slide projector, they recommended looking online for possible sources. My first google search brought up B&H in NYC. Ironically I had previous experience with B&H; in the early 2000’s my wife was attending graduate school in NYC and I would travel up on weekends to visit. I was enchanted with NYC and, given my interest in the newly emerging digital cameras, B&H was like a camera lover’s heaven. The staff were extremely knowledgeable about all the new offerings, and I felt very confident in their recommendations. Having used a Minolta SRT 101 for years for color slides, I was anxious to jump into the digital world, and I bought an Olympus Stylus 1000, which I still use today, more than 20 years later. For me, B&H is the ultimate camera source. 5 |

Well, this is a well publicized, and highly coveted P&S camera well covered in the photo press, YT, IG, and more. So, what could I possibly add? I wanted so badly to not like this camera, so much in fact I rented one to take on a long overdue visit to NYC last fall, hoping I would not be taken in by it's unique "X factor". Well, I was. So much so, with a rented GR III in my pocket, I visited BH Photo and shopped the GRIII vs the GRIIIX and due to my indecision between them I left BH with only the same rented GRIII I walked in with. Fast forward some 7 months, and my "crush" on this unique camera never waned, and NOW....longtime out-of-stock situations at BH, and everywhere else. Having gained matrimonial (CFO) approval I added my name to the BH "notify me" list and as soon as these (GRIII....28 mm equiv version, decision made!) became I ordered one and it's here, and I'm ready to shoot with it. I mainly shoot wildlife....so this is a camera that wont be used within my normal use-case, but rather for travel (like the one I rented last fall) and as a daily or near daily carry on my bicycle rides, day trips NOT involving birding or wildlife, and family get togethers. The Ricoh GR series, despite some baked in shortcomings like lack of EVF or flash, no weather seal etc, is a fun shooter which can deliver amazing images and juicy raw files. As far as BH goes? They rock. Never an issue, ever. And Im glad I've been inside of their store so I know exactly where my GR III came from, despite me not buying it in person there last fall. It was still an amazing stop on my trip to NYC. So, if you're on-the-fence re a Ricoh GR, go to BH and try one in their showroom, and if thats not a possibility rent one from a camera rental service, and then when you love it....order from BH. 5 |

I use the BlackRapid Backpack Breathe Camera Strap with a Lowepro ProTactic Backpack. One side of the strap connects perfectly to the rings located on the front of the backpack's shoulder straps and the other side connects onto a loop on the bottom of the pack on the other side. The BlackRapid backpack strap allows me to have quick access to my camera. With the camera on the BlackRapid strap, I no longer need to bring my backpack to my side to remove and use my camera. I now use my backpack only to store and change lenses. My camera can now remain outside my backpack, located conveniently to my side at hip level. When I want to shoot, the camera slides smoothly up the camera strap to eye level. I like that the camera hangs upside-down when resting on the strap. It makes for an easy get to position when my camera is resting at my side. This strap is amazingly slick and fun to use. I have to admit that I find myself playing around with it, like I'm some sort of gunslinger, showing off how quick I can be on the draw. I appreciate the movable clips provided on the BlackRapid camera strap. The two clips are easily adjusted, allowing me to restrict the movement of the camera to stay in one place on the strap when I am planning not to shoot. All of the attachment parts seem well made and designed. I keep the bottom strap strapped to the bottom of my backpack and store the rest of the strap in a small pocket on my backpack when I am not using the strap. Then, all I have to do is remove the strap from the small backpack pocket and connect the free end to the opposite shoulder strap . . . and I'm ready to go! I wish the piece that that screws into the camera (Camera Socket Attachment) was designed so that the camera could sit flat when attached, and if the design of the socket attachment would permit a tripod or mono-pod to be screwed into it without having to unscrew it from the camera. I absolutely love the BlackRapid Backpack Breathe Camera Strap! 5 |
