Camera Backpack Review 2016

Received this from my wife for Christmas 2016. This backpack is the ultimate for Supertelephoto lens carry. I have the Nikon AF-S 400mm 2.8 with lens hoods and Pro Body attached inside with my Gitzo 1548 tripod and Wimberley Gimbal Head attached in the tripod pocket outside. It carries the load well and is surprisingly balanced. The backpack is very well made and all attachments are heavy duty making it very comfortable and stable when wearing. I wouldn't be worried to carry this for several miles if required. There are ample pockets for additional items or a bottle or two of water. It has an included rain fly that is packed in the lumbar area. Great backpack for it's intended use. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a soft pack to carry large lenses.

I bought my first Gambit in 2016 and it has been my main laptop backpack for everything from daily trips to the office to business trips across the country. It has pockets in just the right places for EVERYTHING and it's durability it's off the charts - 8 years later and it's still good shape; I'm upgrading for the newer features and passing the old one along to someone in need. This is a great backpack all around, simple as that - just buy it, you can thank me later. THANKS OGIO!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this as my other camera backpack got stolen on a trip to SFO. Backpack quality is fantastic, camera section has good cushioning than my previous camera backpack and enough space to store a laptop. tablet etc, in the clamshell opening and some cloths in the expandable roll top. Backpack is certainly bigger than my previous one. Color is little off from the pictures show (bought Dallol Yellow, darker than the images shown). Hadn't got a chance to take it in rain so can't comment on that yet.So far i have been enjoying this backpack and will certainly recommend to others.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] M-Series picture quality is much better than my old E-Series (2016).

Absolutely gem of a camera even though it was released in the US in 2016. Camera is still so incredibly relevant and just a masterpiece much like Sony’s Signature products.

Though the year of this review says, 2016, I bought this remote a year or two ago from B&H. Works great and is just the thing for being in a family photo, or for other purposes where one doesn't want to be behind or right at the camera. I attached a small piece of Velcro to the receiver and another piece of Velcro to my tripod. The receiver with its curly cord sticks to the tripod. Keeps the receiver out of the way and safe from damage.

I've just started using some of Chiaro Filters after reading a review back in 2016. They are a newcomer to the Filter business but they hit a cord with me with their philosophy...Chiaro focuses purely on the percentage of visible light that passes through the filter unharmed. I wanted a filter for my new Lumix 100-400mm Tele. This is an expensive lens with some of the best glass made. At these focal lengths light transmission is very important. I bought this Chiaro because of it's 99% light transmission. Best decision I made, it is slim, only 3.2mm so no added bulk. I like the dual Knurling grooves on the top and side, makes it very easy to add or remove. Solid Brass construction and SCHOTT Glass. I'll be buying more Chiaro Filters from now on.

I never thought to take the time to review a low cost cable when I bought it in July 2016, but the cable finally broke on the Mini-B side where it connects to the camera. Here I am in January 2021after 4.5 years of tethered shooting, looking back through my order history to make sure I get the exact same one as a replacement.
