Camera Bags For Backpacking And Travel

I bought this for a long backpacking trip for my camera gear. It is a little heavier than other bags, not much but I am trying to go ultralight. But, for short trips, outings where there is water no question this is an excellent choice!

i use this camera all the time when I travel around (especially backpacking). It's light and has awesome results. For video its really good. The track focus helps a lot, and the HD looks very sharp.

Overseas travel did not allow me to bring bulky camera bags. Worked perfect!

I use packing bags for clothes while backpacking. This bag size holds all the clothes you dare carry on a 7 day trip. The "dirty side," and "clean side" design is ideal and the bag weighs next to nothing. As for durability, only time will tell but after the first two adventures, all is well.

i use the lens pouches when i travel by air to help protect the gear. I use the camera body bags as well.

Highly recommend the bag. Before buying I was hesitant given the price. That being said I've gone through several bags trying find the best carry option for photography, travel and hiking. The main things I have been looking for was a bag that had top and rear access, hold water bladder, big enough (but not too big) to hold photo AND non-photography things, and well stylish (didn't want it screaming I have camera gear or look like a giant turtle shell on my back). This shimoda pack checked off all those so I bit the bullet and got it and I can say I have no regrets. The bag is well made and appears durable - plus the company has been around and have a good track record. The bag, although heavier than the hiking daypack I was using before, actually carries really well and I don't feel the weight even under load. The internal frame and wide chest sections of the shoulder strap spreads the weight out making it a surprisingly comfortable carry. I realized there is no perfect photography backpack. But after going through several bags already, this one has definitely been the best and hits all the boxes of things I was looking for. If you're looking for a solid camera, travel and outdoor backpack at an streamline size give this pack a go!

Tenba has always had good camera bags. This one is great for travel and also out for a day shoot. I traveled to the Pantanal with this bag. I used it for our daily excursions. We were on open buses looking for animals and birds. And I used it on boat trips to photograph Jaguars. I could put my Canon R3 w/attached 100-500 lens in it. I also had an extra body and lens. And other small photo gear. The dividers have velcro so you can personalize it for your needs.
