Had this since release and think it's an incredible piece of gear. For day to day stuff ( news, web... ) the built-in XF-AVC looks terrific at HD and UHD... not joking. We use a Canon Cine Zoom for this and the camera's native 800 ISO works in nearly every lighting situation. Bumping it to 3200 causes no problems at all either. When you need a bit of extra impact throw on a Canon prime and switch to the internal 4K 12 bit RAWLight which imports, plays and edits natively in Premiere and FCPX no rendering to transcoding, and can be graded to your hearts content! Looks stunning. OK- you have to render the color work! ;-) If you must have an intermediate format ( eg4:2:2 10 bit 2K or 4:2:2 ProRes UHD ) you can record externally with the either the SDI or HDI outputs depending on what you want. As a camera the C200 has built in ND, tons of mappable buttons for ISO,Peaking, Waveforms, Guides, Focus assists ( the Canon Dual Pixel touch screen auto focus with adjustable rack speed is great )..color bars!, plus dual XLR analog and digital audio inputs plus an extra 2 analog channels on a 3.5mm mini jack. The batteries run all day ( we got the larger BP-A60 )... there's not much left wanting in our use case. Some folk might get niggly about some configuration restrictions like not being able to record 4K RAW, UHD AVC and monitor on a 4K monitor all at once. But most of those end up being a 'why would you want to ? ' scenario. For us anyway. Plus theres other features for the nerd, like 120 fps HD,Interval recording, time-lapse recording, WiFi remote control via an iPhone app, better than average file naming and metadata input... on and on. Unless you need Timecode and Genlock or the ability to load custom LUTs in camera or a 6K sensor ... in which case you wont even be looking at this unit.. the C200 is a great choice. Maybe even a bargain!

I bought this for my Canon HF20 HD video camera becuase I film a lot outdoors where sometimes the sun is just too much and the cameras limitations to decrease washout make for poor video. I tried other densities from .2 to 1 to settle in on this particular density for its darker qualities. I like the ease of installing when needed and the fact that it has both front and rear threads makes it easy to use other filters or glass like UV protectors and even allows me to attach my wide angle lens to the front. You can't beat the price for value from Tiffen products.

bought this for my Canon CMOS HD: an older camera. Much cheaper than a Canon battery and it works great.

I bought this ND variable filter to use with my Sony NEX FS100 HD camera and Canon 16-35mm f2.8 L lens. It's expensive, but one of the only filters that does not produce any color shifting or distortion. Well worth the price.

I bought this cable so that one cable is always attached to my HD TV and one is always in my camera case. Since it is a Canon product it is exactly the same as the one that came with the camera it is sturdy/well made.

All I can say is this camera produces great video under most all conditions. I have nothing but praise for this model, the price, the quality, ease of use, and of course the HD video. It is small and light and very easy to carry around. You just have to get use to the fact that it is very small and learn to grip it so it's more comfortable to hold. Some guys have bad things to say about the low light video, I find it very good if you play with the settings. This HF200 had everything I was looking for in a very affordable Canon HD flash memory camcorder. The only thing I added to the camera was a larger capacity battery, U/V filter/lens protector and I also found the Sunpak 37mm .5 wide angle lens works perfect as long as you don't use the zoom beyond 2-3x.The lens is also small enough to not interfere with the flash or video light and it also does not affect the IAF. Unlike the big and heavy Canon w/a lens.As many have said the one thing they would have liked to see in this model was a wider lens. The Sunpak (SKU 7726482) CAL-1030KITBB makes this camera all it can be. I would buy this camera again in a heart beat. For me this camcorder is 5 stars all the way....

I got the bag to carry my camera and other personals when I fly. The bag is sturdy enough to protect my Canon SX60 HD, yet roomy and flexible enough to accommodate my other personal objects. So glad I online chatted with the store personnel to find the perfect bag for my needs! Thank you!

Having been a Canon photographer for years, I was not suprised when I opened the box and began reading the manual. This little powerhouse delivers digital SLR level amenities in a handheld package. From full manual settings to very intuitive auto programs, it seems to cover the full range of photographer needs. The flash is more than adequate for this level of camera. The IS really works! I love that this camera can get down to the sub-4.0f range. This happens in no small part because of the oversized lens opening, which is unique for a handheld of this size. My only wish is that the HD video might produce a slightly larger output, but if I really need that, I'll go to an HD Camcorder. Shutter recovery is fast and it's ready to shoot again quickly. All in all, very happy with this new powerhouse from Canon.

I finally upgraded to HD from Canon Optura SD. The transition to HF200 was great. The controls, connections and menu system on HF200 are similar to past Canon models so I had no trouble switching over. In particular the menu is intuitive and very easy to navigate. I shoot a lot of wildlife on travel and really like the HF200 compact size. I need to juggle my binoculars and camcorder often so am glad I can stow the camera into a jacket pocket or small pack easily. Took it to San Ignacio Lagoon for whale watching trip and very happy with the shots I got. The screen was bright enough to be useful even in sunny situations (and you can adjust it even brighter if you need) and the image stabilization came in handy out on the boat. I thought I'd miss the viewfinder but not so far - have always preferred using the screen anyway. One feature I really liked is the Pre-Recording mode. In this mode the camera grabs the previous 3 seconds of video when you press record. It burns the battery a bit faster but helps get action shots of unpredictable animal behavior. Also like the 15x optical zoom (I never use the digital zoom) and battery life way better than Optura. Pleasantly surprised at low light performance. Still a --little-- grainy but WAY better than Optura also. Got home and looked at the clips - HD looks so good. Since this is my first HD, it's hard to compare against other HD but I've always been pleased with Canon optics. All in all, I think this camera is great value. If you want a great compact HD camcorder you can take anywhere, consider the HF200. Don't waste your money on internal memory (HF20), get an extra SDHC card instead.

works well with our Canon HD Camera. Lots of extras and many storage space. Porta Brace says it all.
