Camera Lag Choppy On Image Stabilization

I can see wildlife, branches of trees, gas prices, and people atop mountains from three kilometers away. In other words, it has exactly the same power of magnification as any other 14x binocular, however, with it's rock-solid image stabilization, all that magnification is actually usable. If you are familiar with the original TSI1440, you already know this. I have never used the older model, but this one addresses the shortcomings I had read about in the older one. First of all, no one complained about the older version's image stabilization, but this one, at 6-degrees, is even better than the 5-degree stabilization the older model provides. The main complaint or the older model, is the stomach-turning lag that would happen when you panned quickly. Fujifilm claims to have fixed this, and I have not been able to induce any lag when I pan quickly. This thing is simple to set up and use--and not just simple to use--it is a joy to use. I like being able to use rechargable batteries too. It comes with a very rugged and well-fitting soft case. The soft case could be a problem for some, and I don't know if there is a hard-case solution out there. I doubt whether a hard case for the older TSI model will fit this.

Love it. Just wish it had image stabilization.

Am using this with GH5 shooting 4K (10 bit) and, as advertised the monitor supports 4K resolution as I am getting full frame image. Image quality is quite good (sharpness, detail, color) and can be adjusted to closely match camera LED screen (contrast, brightness, etc.). There's lag as expected but it's not much of an issue with the kind of work I'm doing. Only draw back might be that this model doesn't show data on the screen except for audio levels. Other Elvid models I've seen demoed on Youtube (including one that seemed to be this one) do show data so that was weird and a disappointment. Work around is showing data on camera screen which works fine, leaving the Elvid monitor image clean. I've never used a field monitor before so I don't know what a 1K dollar monitor is like compared to this. My needs are fairly basic (framing, focus, readable detail, etc.) so this is working out fine. I imagine for pro commercial shooters this wouldn't do it (lag alone making it difficult to work with), but if you're needs aren't too demanding for the price this is a solid monitor and a great deal.

Takes great images and the image stabilization is the best I have ever seen.

This camera allows me to use my vintage cameras with image stabilization. I am also impressed with the performance of my E series lens.. The feature set is far superior to the make of camera I have been using since 1986.

Before you spend more you might want to try out this lens. I spent more...WAY more...for Zeiss glass and L series lenses and my Olympus Pro series 12-40mm lens. While they're all good...so is this lens. Don't let the low price fool you. This lens is well made and I'm completely satisfied with the pictures it provides. Yes, it's a manual focus only lens...but I like that. I use it with my Olympus OM-D E-M1 mirrorless camera. That camera has in-body image stabilization and the ability to zoom in to make it easy to get perfect focus every time. The image stabilization makes me forget I'm 73 years old and sometimes a bit shaky. To top it all off this silver lens looks great on my silver bodied E-M1 (shown with lens, a cheap generic lens hood, and an RRS L plate).

Works really well, especially if you're on a budget but also have lenses that don't have image stabilization.
