Camera Messenger Bags

I am using this as an audio bag for field recording, as well as occasional mirrorless camera duty. I tried several messenger-style bags from Manfrotto and others but this and it's smaller sibling 36M really stood out. (See my pix for size comparison - I got both and returned the smaller one.) It's pretty big but nicely balanced. The killer feature is the lower compartment: I like how messenger bags keep the weight close to my body, but that makes them tall and skinny so things get buried in the bottom. With this bag I can keep the primary gear accessible on the top shelf and still have easy access to bottom via the lower door. I put my MixPre-6 audio recorder on top (with right-angle XLR connectors) and have room for cables, headphones, and a small mirrorless camera on the top shelf. I keep my mic + pistol grip underneath, along with a backup recorder and several small microphones. The rain-cover is great, the strap is nicely padded and adjustable, and you can rig the front buckles to hold a tripod or stand. The lid can flip back and stay out of the way, or you can reach through a zippered slot to grab things. The top of the bag zippers shut so you can safely stow it sideways during airline/car travel without little things falling out of pockets. It's basically perfect!

I have many camera specific bags; but on occasion I want to take my hiking pack or large messenger and take along my Sony A7 M2 with either the 27-70mm kit or more than often now my 35mm F2.8. this size works perfectly as a very helpful sales associate informed me in the store.

Not using this as a camera bag, but it has completely replaced all my other bags including my Everyday Messenger 15L. I used to just throw things in my bag and spend ages fishing them out but with everything in its own dedicated area, I've saved so much time and also my gear is much better protected. It fits my 15.6 inch laptop and my Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+ along with a tech pouch, and other everyday carry items. The bag feels more compact and lighter than my previous bag and even though its smaller, since the space is more utilised it feels like it carries more. Definitely recommend

Best bag I own and I have tried a lot of messenger bags. Buy it. You won’t be disappointed

This is the best of the Messenger bags I've used. Great outside material and much better shoulder padding than the older ones

After purchasing backpacks, totes, and messenger-style bags I had just about given up on finding a reasonably sized bag to lug around my gear. The J-1 carries a DSLR w/lens, 3 addition lenses, speedlight, remote and all the normal accessories such as spare batteries, cables, chargers and STILL has room to spare. Super well made. Rugged construction. I highly recommend the FA-031 Postal Carrier pad as an accessory. This is the most comfortable pad I've ever seen or owned.

Great messenger bag. Very efficient maximization use of space. Best design. I have used so many bags over the last 25 years. This is the best. Good material quality as well.

Everyday Messenger 15L was of my most favorite bags out of the 6 bags I have. But nothing lasts. I had to part with my bag due to its strap. It's the perfect bag for my Sony mirrorless with 200x600mm attached. I contacted PEAK to see if it's fixable. Unfortunately, it's not repairable. However, PEAK offered a V2 Everyday Messenger as the replacement bag. Not a perfect size for what I need. But I still am a very happy customer.

I've tried too many bags but was looking for something more functional. I like messenger style, hanging on the shoulder but find most will hold three lenses and I wanted to carry four. This bag is small enough it carries very well and holds my Fuji XT-2 with the 16, 35, 56, and 80 mm very comfortably. Plus it's not too big so I can't make it much heavier.

I was one of the original Kickstarter backers for the original version of the Everyday Messenger. And while I have review fatigue, generally speaking, this bag needs one. While I sometimes find myself lusting after other bags, particularly leather ones, I keep returning back to my Messenger. For one, leather is heavy. But my Messenger is just so extraordinarily well-designed. It is functional in a way that no other bag has ever been. My consideration is that the Messenger is in a class of itself, top of class, best of class, however you want to label it. The pockets are so well-designed. The two zips, for the padded pocket at the back and the top of the main compartment, are so useful and functional that I wonder how I ever lived without them in other bags. Case in point: In my work I deal with a lot of 11x17 sheets; so I put them either in a binder or on my big clipboard, and then slip the clipboard end into the main compartment through the top pocket. While the item is not entirely inside the bag, it does allow me to walk with it in my bag rather than carry it separately. And that super simple adjustable strap? "Divine intervention" inspired that one: able to cinch up the bag like that so easily is so helpful and useful. The only regret I have with my Messenger bag is whether or not to replace it with a new one in one of the updated finishes. I can't recommend this bag highly enough.
