Camera Most Used By Professional Photographers

Most photographers use at least one diffusion filter for portraits, whether a professional whose clients need to look great, or the rest of us who want to flatter Granny at her 90th birthday celebration party. I have kids with iffy complexions in their adolescence and didn’t want to rely too heavily on Photoshop for the fix. For use on my Quattro DP2, this filter does a fine job of holding small details like eyelashes, yet blends blemishes well. (One caveat: a large blackhead or dark pimple may be accentuated, depending on circumstances, so a white diffusion filter or dab of concealer could be needed.) Since the eyes and lashes/eyebrows hold their detail portraits can be very flattering with this Tiffen product. It looks odd by itself as it appears to be glass with a pattern of little black marks all over it, where I more or less expected some type of black screen or grid. Not being an optical engineer and as well as the filter works, I chalk it up to FM. Also, I prefer to use Tiffen products in general as they have always be good quality, competitively priced, and made in the good ol’ U. S. of A.; what’s not to like?

Most professional photographers know this already, use a UV filter to protect the expensive glass you have taking the images. I use Tiffen filters because of the consistant quality.

For use with a non-converted camera, these filters do an acceptable job. Most IR photographers recommend doing a full-spectrum conversion and use filters accordingly. However, I am not yet ready to make that step and am using the filters on a regular DSLR with success.

Any full frame sensor canon lens you put on this camera, the photos are AMAZING. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a top of the line, professional dslr camera.

Recently (7-21-2013) I purchased the world's best Nikon D7100 DSLR 18-105mm f/3.5G ED VR DX Lens camera from B&H. I wanted the best possible tripod and after careful searching for 3 weeks zeroed in on the Vanguard Altra Pro 263AB Tripod and ordered it from B&H. When I received the Tripod on 8-8-2013, I was trilled to find the many functions i.e. the smoothness of extending the legs, the ability to turn the legs in 20, 50, and 80 degree angles in moutaineous setting, the three level bubbles to perfectly align the camera to horizontal position, the 360 degree compass to rotate the camera to a set degree, and the sturdiness of the tripod. The B&H packing was fantastic! The Tripod is a GEM, the best in the world.
