Camera Profile In Lightroom Sony

I have been using this lens on my E-PM2 and am satisfied with it. I edit my photos with Lightroom and use the lens profile for the Sigma 10-20mm to correct vignetting and CA and my photos look great on FlickR. Its simplicity is its strength.

So far I am very happy with this paper. I am printing on an Epson 3880 from both Lightroom and PS, using the profile supplied by Epson, with color management handled by the software. There is a pleasing brightness to the images with good shadow detail. And for the project I am now working on the finish is perfect. A little smoother that Hot Press, and maybe a little crisper. It is so subjective.

The Sony RX100 VA provides incredible capability in an unimaginably small profile. I debated long and hard whether to purchase the RX 100 VII, but opted for the faster lens. I owned the original RX 100, until it died. The incremental upgrades between the original and the VA have become a quantum leap. The view finder two step action is not bothersome. The increased focus tracking and video tools add to the allure of this camera. My other gear includes: Sony 7rII, which I love and has incredible detail, but the RX 100 VA reduces the weight load by 90%, Sony a6000 - and the gap has narrowed such that I'll probably convert my a6000 to IR, and an iPhone 11 - which is not bad in a pinch, but the RX 100 VA brings all the creative control of my full frame and creates a much better file for LR/PS editing. Bottom line, the size profile truly makes this a camera you have with you at all time! Bravo Sony!

This low-profile pack is just right for my Sony bridge camera, charger, and extra batteries and memory cards. The various-sized velcro dividers make it easy to customize the compartments I need. There is another separate zippered section where I have my extra lens caps, lens cleaner, and cables. I love that it has two side mesh pockets for a water bottle or tripod.

I was informed that Nikon cameras wouldn't tether in Lightroom but as soon as I connected my Nikon DSLR to Adobe LightRoom via Tether Tools TetherPro cable, LightRoom immediately recognized my camera with all its settings and I could view pictures taken from the camera and I can trigger the shutter remotely from Lightroom as well. The cable is robust and the length is perfect for my use. I highly recommend a carrying case by Tether Tools.

I bought this lens to pair with my Sony a7ii for landscape photography, especially astrophotography. The lens is very well constructed and has a solid feel to it. The only warning I have is that the front element is HUGE. The petal lens hood is built in and cannot be removed. It is near impossible to use filters with this lens. Stopped down, the lens is very sharp and using focus peaking on the Sony a7ii makes manual focus very easy, especially for non-moving shots, like landscapes. Be sure to take some test shots to find the true infinity point of focus as it is not at the end of the focus ring stop. My copy is about 2mm short of the infinity mark, and it is common on this lens to have different points for infinity focus. It's also nice that Lightroom now has a lens profile for this lens, you just have to manually add it as Lightroom will not automatically recognize this lens as it is does not electronically connect to the camera. For the price, this lens is a no brainer and should be in every landscape photographer's bag!

This card downloads quickly to my Lightroom program with my Sony card reader. It works well in my Nikon D5.
