Great for stabilizing the camera

Great for stabilizing a camera on a vehicle or even a very narrow platform.

The piece is extremely well made and appears to be quite durable. I had another unit that had built in rods for stabilizing that did not make me at ease for stability or weight accommodation. This add-on provides the opposite. It has beefy legs and allows for adjustment with the ball in the base. The additional base adjustments for varied terrain is also appreciated and is made of quality material. The unit in and of itself evokes confidence in stability and allows you to shot without concern for poor performance due to blurring by excessive movement.

I realy like its stabilizing

I have a 6TB unit I use on my Sailing Vessel primarily for recorded media. I've had this for probably 5 years or better. It is subject to extreme temperatures and humidity (I don't use air conditioning). It installation is such that it is not subject to cooling as much as I would like it to be. As I am sailing, especially in rough weather, it pounds along with the boat and everything else on the boat. This unit has lasted and has always been reliable. I'm certain there have been units that failed prematurely, but I would suspect few and far between. This review is for a My Book, but all of my drives are older WDs and they have always been superb. I couldn't recommend the My Book more strongly.

We have 7 TV's on our boat and there is a Tripp Ilte hooked up to each one. Once you set them up the first time there is nothing else to do. The unit seamlessly runs our equipment when switching from shore to generator power w/o interruption. I did need help with one question and the help line solved my question quickly. I would never be without one.

The monopod is well constructed and does a great job of stabilizing my camera and heavy telephoto lens!

This is a great lens and image stabilizing really works well.

It doesn't look pretty, but does a great job. It is useful when hiking up steep inclines at helping stabilizing your camera and keeping it from being a heavy weight swinging freely from your neck. Going down steep inclines it is not as effective but better than having nothing to hold the camera. The snaps make it easy to get the camera ready for most shots when you need to get the camera quickly. It easily holds in place the Canon 5d and 24-105 lens while hiking up steep inclines allowing you to focus on the hike.

This is very handy for stabilizing/adjusting your camera on a table or ledge. It also makes a nice oversize grip for a smaller camera when shooting handheld. Supports more weight than I expected!
