Cameras For Semi Professionals

I use it mostly for traveling and find that this camera has much more than I need. Comfortable, easy to use, informative. I think it is very good for non and semi-professionals. 5 |

I own three of these. Some things you just can't do efficiently with a DSLR, the Panasonic CX350 is my go-to. It's a work horse for professionals. We use these cameras for sports, training videos, informational messages from the president, promotional/marketing and also for feeding into a switcher for streaming and recording a 3-camera shoot like commencement. I've used this family of cameras for more than 20 years and transitioned from the DVX100 using mini-DV to the HMC150 using SD cards, and then the AC160, the UX180 and now I'm replacing my DVX200s with CX350s. All of the previously mentioned cameras (11-total) still work just fine, I've never had a problem, never had to send one away for repair. 5 |

Everyone has their preferences as to how they carry and store their equipment but it seems most professionals use Pelican cases. For cameras, I prefer a softer bag, but for the various smaller items that need to be protected and organized, I have found Pelican cases are the perfect fit. They are nearly indestructable, waterproof and do a great job of keeping all items from damage. 5 |

Absolute game changer. One of those rare cameras for professionals that comes along and tries to do everything and more -- and does it really well. It breaks down barriers previously established by other manufactures and stomps all over every other camera in its weight-class. If you're thinking about it, know that you'd have to be impossible to please if you were disappointed with this model. It's just insane what they were able to accomplish with the S1H. Insane. 5 |

After a long break from using professional, or semi-professional, cameras. I finally decided to get the T2i with the kit lens. I definitely love it! I wouldn't buy any other entry level DSLRs. the only feature I would like from the T3i is the flip screen, other than that I don't see any reason to spend the extra money. Just watch a few videos online about it and you'll be convinced. 5 |

All my vehicles have front and rear cameras. Having the rear camera on my first vehicle clearly showed that I was in my lane when the semi crossed into my lane and totaled my car! The responding Trooper was happy that I had video instantly available. 5 |

I am a semi-professional photographer. By that I work a normal job and get photography jobs randomly. One of my regularly scheduled events is a conference 3 times a year that requires me to move around a large arena quickly, with heavier lenses, but without distracting the audience if at all possible. For years I strapped on two cameras with their own straps and it was just incredibly difficulty and strenuous on my neck. A year ago I started using the Money Maker by Holdfast gear and the difference was night and day. I can carry two cameras for 3-4 hours at a time and never feel fatigued. As well, I usually have a monopod on one of my lenses and the cameras hang where it doesn't bang around or hit others. As a female photographer, I can't imagine doing multi-camera shoots without it.
