Like the other Blackmagic Mini Converters it's a simple solution. Not unlike it's counterparts the USB connection offers some good controls like level sliders for each input. A great feature of these and the other BM Mini Converters with audio inputs is not only the ability to take in AES but when in that mode they can also accept coaxial SPDIF with a simple rca to 1/4" adapter. 5 |

Like most Blackmagic Design products, this guy gets dinged from time to time for being hard to set up. I will agree that it took me a minute to read the switches and understand the table on the back of the device, but it wasn't that hard. Reading for comprehension seems to be the key these days. Bottom line, works perfectly, providing a wealth of conversion options, and the manual is silkscreened right on the box. It doesn't get any better than this! 5 |
