Canada Computers Das Keyboard

This is my third Das Keyboard product. Lost the first in a fire, and am using the second one on a secondary computer. Bought the Prime 13 for the Cherry brown switches and the keyboard back-lighting. As mechanical keyboards go, I don't think a better one exists. It's not as loud as the Cherry red switches in my old Pro Red model, but I added some MX rubber switch dampeners to make it a little quieter, anyway. It's nearly as quiet as a membrane keyboard now.

The Das Keyboard 4 Pro (Cherry MX Brown switches) is a sheer pleasure to work with. The weight of the keyboard keeps it stable on the desk, and the feel of the keys is satisfying. The keyboard is far from silent, but that is the nature of mechanical keyboards, and the sound is not outrageously loud. The tactile nature of click-click-click of the volume knob is just fun.

This is my second Das Keyboard 4 Professional--the first went to my wife's computer when I rebuilt and upgraded it. This latest model is equipped with the new footbar that has rubber feet, a great improvement in eliminating the tendency for the keyboard to slide around. I contacted Das Keyboard about purchasing the new footbar for our first keyboard. They responded by agreeing to ship one free of charge. The only downside to these keyboards is the ABS keys will wear shiny and the letters dim after awhile. The solution is purchasing a set of Doubleshot PBT key caps from WASD Keyboards.com. PBT keycaps don't wear and the letters fade as with ABS keycaps and will permanently restore the keyboard to its original glory.

Tired of mushy keyboards? Look no further. The Das Keyboard 4 Professional with Cheery MX Blue switches is the way to go. I've always liked the experience typing on a solid mechanical keyboard, but I could never justify the extra cost. I thought I was being silly even considering the expense. Now, I wish I spent the money years ago. This thing feels so solid under your hands and it has some heft when you pick it up. It's extremely well made. The typing experience is second to none. Don't put it off like I did for years. Treat yourself to the Das Keyboard and you won't look back!

My previous keyboard was a Realforce Topre keyboard (8 years). Moving to the Das with Cherry MX Brown switches has been a pleasant change.

This IOGEAR GCS110-4 4-Port KVMP switch is my first purcahse of this type of gear...should have bought one years ago. I had checked out one of the other brands, but the manufacturer's web-site had the same photo and description for two models, very confusing. I am using this switch with three computer, Win7, Win8.1 and a Linux rig. I keep the fourth port open for testing other computers, no need to connect one being tested to a separate keyboard and mouse setup. This switch allows me to easily switch between computers via keyboard shortcuts. I have a Logitech Keyboard and Mouse which share a single wireless USB dongle, plugging the dongle into the keyboard USB port of the monitor area of the switch allows me to use the keyboard and mouse on all computers. I did have to uninstall the Logitech software which allowed for custom keyboard layout (volume up/down, next track, etc.) as it seemed to conflict with the way the KVMP switch emulated Keyboard and Mouse Control...not an issue for me in this case. I am not a hard-core gamer, thus do not have a mouse with 92 buttons on it..more of a FPS and Flight Sim guy here. I like the fact that I can switch the keyboard/mouse, Vidoe and USB separately from the audio, that is I can have music playing on one computer, switch the Keyboard/Mouse, Video, and USB to another computer and still hear the music from the first computer. I have all my external drives and printers connected directly to the Win7 computer working as a server for all my data. I have a USB hub connected to the KVMP input which is accessed by whichever computer I am using for such things as my web-cam, joystick, multimedia card reader, and ID CAC Card Reader. I started taking IT classes and now I can easily do remote access, learned how to access Windows Shared Folders from the Linux box...and more, having the computers side by side with one control system is a Godsend. I would recommend this switch to anyone considering such a purchase.

I had heard of DAS before but I had no idea that they had something other than Line Arrays. This sounds like a REAL Das setup at a size I can take with me to all event. Really worked out for me

Works great to share one VGA Display with two computers, also can share a keyboard and mouse with the two computers.

I use this to switch the monitor, mouse, keyboard and sound between 2 computers. It's been working flawlessly.

Shipping to Canada was fast and only took about 3 days. As for the keyboard. It was just what I expected. Simply plug in the two USB keyboard connections and all worked great. Backlit keyboard is bright with several levels of luminance and the keyboard is heavy and well built. Wish the USB sockets on the back of the keyboard were of the 3.0 variety but for the price I cannot complain. Works great with Edius Pro 9 and has sped up my workflow.
