Cannot Connect Sony Headphone To Laptop

Needed to connect laptop computer headphone audio out to a PA system for a presentation on photography. AV chaps told me that a transformer was necessary to connect the laptop to the PA's microphone input along with the necessary cable adapters. The AV guys provided me with a DI box to do the job - it did. But I bought one of these for testing and it worked every bit as well as the DI box. It's a keeper. 5 |

I use this product in voice over work and love the crystal clear reproduction. A bit bulky, but worth it. As a caveat, DO NOT try using this with a Sony Vaio laptop as you are unable to listen to the audio that has been recorded on the laptop using the Yeti headphone jack. Nor can you monitor what is being recorded from the Yeti while using the Vaio headphone jack, the Sony laptop is totally worthless for field recording and editing. 5 |

So, i use this for Live Broadcasting at my little local newsoutlet. What i do is connect my Sony RX10-IV to a laptop via the Magewell 4kPlus and the laptop has a hotspot; That way i can literally be almost anywhere and do live feeds to my news-site. It works well -- really. I have had zero connection problems with my camera. It does have a moving part, the ever-so-silent fan; So, i only keep it connected when needed. But, i can honestly say, i am glad i did my research comparing similar products. This is the best out there, and well worth the cost. 5 |
