the perfect camera between a point n' shoot and a full blown digital SLR. 5 |

I love it for photos enough that I'm still giving it 5 stars. For video, I'd give it 1 star. I bought this camera with the benefit of a doubt that I can use it for video on occasion. It was not worth the extra money. Being an owner of the GH5, I would never recommend this camera for someone looking to shoot a lot of 4K video or even 1080p video with it over something more dedicated. Canon Log, although 8-bit, is light years ahead of 10-bit V-Log L. You can really shoot with Canon Log all the time, and never have issues with pulling out good video footage. Try that with other log profiles and you're really asking for trouble. The biggest problem with 4K on the 5D4 is the rolling shutter. It's really bad. People's faces get wobbly for tight portrait shots. Couple that with the inability to handhold it because it lacks IBIS, you got a wobbly video camera with amazing Canon Log that only works in very select situations. The crop isn't too bad if you use zoom lenses, but if you use primes, it just doesn't make sense to bounce back from the crop factor. 1080p is very usable however put it side by side with the GH5's 1080p, it's a few generations behind in terms of quality. But if you don't do side-by-side comparisons, you'll be fine doing some occasional video work where there isn't so much movement and you need 2 stops of dynamic range. 5 |

This camera is easy to use, gives a great digital picture every time. I want a point and shoot delivery and this is it. 5 |

Bought this to carry a small point and shoot digital camera on a backpack chest strap while hiking. Very satisfied with the flap covered padded camera compartment, and zippered section for extra batteries and SD cards. Much better design than the Lowepro case it replaced. Just what I needed. 5 |

I bought this camera to make the leap from a digital point and shoot to a digital SLR. I last used an old film SLR 10 yrs ago, so it'll be nice to see what I remember and learn even more about photography. I'm very happy the camera accepts AA lithium batteries and there is a lengthy printed operating manual too. Additionally, there are more than enough manual settings for my needs. Lastly, the price is right and was lowest on B&H! I haven't found any cons yet. 5 |

This camera is an awesome camera for people looking for more out of a digital camera than just the regular point and shoot but do not want to spend the money or carry around the lenses of an SLR. The 20X optical zoom is FANTASTIC! The offerings of this camera are numerous. The manual settings are simple to use and the numerous other settings such as colour accent are very fun to use. I highly recommend this camera to anyone looking to get more into photography while keeping money in their pockets. 5 |

This camera is my first foray into the DSLR world, after owning several point and shoot digital cameras. I must say, so far it has been a blast. It's easy to use and the quality of the pictures is fantastic. Several shots I've taken of surrounding flora look almost fake because of the clarity of the pictures. I haven't delved into the more complicated features just yet, but I'll get there soon. One of the main reasons I chose this camera is for the touch screen display, which I love. I think anyone with a smart phone will love it, too. I'd definitely recommend the SL-1. 5 |

I love this camera! Its my first digital interchangable lens camera that I have owned. I bought it because I wanted to upgrade from my point and shoot, and didnt want to have a huge camera like a nikon or canon. This one fits the bill. I love it. I wouldn't reccomend it if you're going into business or something, but if you're a family guy who is looking for a serious upgrade from point and shoot, then this one just might fit the bill. 5 |

I use this compact tripod for my digital point and shoot cameras and my smaller pinhole cameras. The ball head keeps camera steady and I like how it can lay flat against the camera body for storage. The feet offer good grip. 5 |

I was introduced to photography when I was 6. My dad gave me a kodak 110 camera. Other then my canon FD system, and Minolta Autofocus system. During the film era, I always had a Rollei point and shoot camera in my pocket. when I adapot digital. The long and unrespectable shooter lag from point and shoot/ pocket/daily cameras has been bothering me for the past 11 years. I miss my little Rollei 35mm. She was light, had enough manual controls, and almost zero shooter lag until I received the E-P3. She fits into my pocket, under my car seat, in the glove box with right lens on. (I own two lens currently. The Panasonioc 20mm and the kit lens. Both fit very well.) And more importantly, She has very short shooter lag. I can finally capture the picture I intend to in a dynamic setting. IT is a little heavy compare to the film point and shoot, but I do not mind due to more controls over the lower end model from Olympus. I would hoghly suggest this camera to people who are in the same shoes as myself. Well, I can't tell you how many of my less camera savvy friends ask me the following question: Why can't my new digital camera shoot the pictures when I want to as in my dirt cheap film point-and-shoots. Additionally, I just received the Canon FD lens to M4/3 adaptor that I purchased dirt cheap from a leading auction site this morning. I put the VF-2 on the E-p3 then carefully take out all my Canon FD primes focus lens. Mount them on and shoot pictures through them which I had not been able to do for the past 12 or so years. It is a miracle for me to see the familier Canon FD tone reappeared in the digital era. BTW, the IS works great on manual focus lens. Remember to set the focu length though. 5 |
