I'm A Sony guy now but used Canon before, I kept all of my L Glass 24-105 F4, 17-40 F4, 70-200 F4, 85mm F1.8 and they all work great with my A7II and A7RII highly recomended.

I bought this filter for my Canon EF 17-40 F4 wide angle lense. It doesn't affect my photos but gives great protection for my lense. I love it!

OK. She certainly is sharp as she is replacing my super old 17-40 f4. Everything I have read and studied appears to be accurate on the benefits of investing in this high-quality lens. I may need another 6 months before I can testify, but my initial impression is a 5 star.

I was at first hesitant to buy this lens given its cost, thinking that my 17-40 f4 was sufficient. After reading some other reviews, however, and talking to a veteran photographer at the store, I bit the bullet and I'm glad I did. It takes a little work getting used to a lens this wide in terms of the horizontal plane and focus -- but once you do, the results are fantastic. It's very sharp, particularly at the wider apertures, with no distortion. Color rendition is dead-on. Even though I bought the lens primarily for landscapes, I find myself using it all the time. With a lens that wide, you can capture people/scenes with them unaware that they are a subject of the shot.

This is my favorite travel bag for camera and laptop. On the plane I can put in a 15 Mac Book, two 5d bodies in the outside pockets and 3 lenses ( 70 -200 mm f4, 24 - 70 f2.8 and 17 - 40 f4. It's a little heavy but everything fits. Once at my destination I usually leave the laptop and just take one body and the 17 - 40 and the 70 - 200. Very inconspicuous, light and lots of room for umbrella, papers and a trash bag to cover it if it rains. It's surprisingly comfortable to carry too. If you like the bag you probably will have to replace (B&H has replacements) the main strap a few times. At home I use the bag just for my laptop and a rolling case for my camera equipment. Great bag, well made, not too expensive and unobtrusive! Also I don't mind the minimum padding in the bag Cameras are pretty strong to begin with. Years ago in Vietnam I used an unpadded corpsman's bag for my camera gear and never had any problems with gear breakage. And the advantage of having a lighter weight bag that hugs your body and doesn't stick out with a lot of padding is actually much more comfortable and you are less likely to bang it around. Also you can add bits of padding as needed in critical areas.

Simply put. Outstanding ! in every way . Doing a lot of scenic s and sunrises iv'e always used my Canon 17-40 f/4 so , in comparison this lens delivers all that was promised and more. I wanted something a little wider without going fish eye and yet zero distortion . Sigma nailed it ! Heavy ? yes...twice the weight of my Canon 17-40 ...any regrets ? NO . For the money it's worth every cent especially when compared to other lenses with the same parameters .

This little piece of gear took my Canon lenses and made them amazing. I have a 17-40mm L USM F4 and it reads in my camera as F2.5, before I only used this lens as an outdoor lens, now I can use it indoors. I also have a Rokinon 35mm Cine Prime T1.5 That works perfectly with this I cant tell you what the F stop is opened all the way up but all I can say is wow its bright! Great product, since the GH4's strengths aren't low light this is a must have.

Using it on a Tokina 17-35mm f4 with a Canon 6D. Photo attached: ISO 50, some 100sec exp, f22, at 2pm :) Loving it so far.
