Canon 200D Vs Sony A5100 Mirrorless Camera

I ordered this with a Sony a5100. What a nice package! A small camera with a small, lightweight medium telephoto for portraits and street photography. Love it! I also have a bigger a6500 but I find that carrying the a5100 with this lens more convenient.

I went to Death Valley and wanted a wide lens. I put this lens on my Sony A5100 and it was wonderful. At first I was surprised because the camera said there was no lens. I changed the camera settings to operate the curtain anyway. Then I left the lens focused on infinity and then it was one great wide picture after another. I am extremely happy with this lens and would do it again. I picked this lens partly because in addition to being wide I could put a UV filter on it for protection.

Minimalistic bag fits Sony A5100 with 16-50mm kit lens very snugly. I use it when transporting camera in backpack and it works well for that purpose. I also use to store camera when not in use. Nice that it fits with strap attached to camera. The fit is very tight and it can be tricky at first to get the camera in and out of the bag, but overall I am very happy with it. Seems well made.

Easy to use lens cap that protects all the Sony lens I have for my Sony a5100. Easy to take on and off - good holding power when it's in my camera bag.

Using this tripod in a video rig with a Sony mirrorless camera, long Canon FD lenses (300mm - 400mm), Atomos Ninja V, Fotga matte box. Handles the tasks very well.

There is no better value in the hybrid mirrorless space. If you want sony or canon af then buy one of those cameras. I'm really enjoying the photos and videos from this camera so far. I'm still new to the camera and system but it has been a joy to use so far. The kit lens is okay, nothing to write home to Mom about. Do your research, try before you buy if you can, and use the right tool for the job. For the record this is one heck of a tool!!!!!

This is perfect for smaller set-ups, especially if you're using a mirrorless camera or one of the smaller cine cameras from Sony, Canon, or Blackmagic. It weighs so little that it doesn't add much weight to your ring, making it ideal for run and gun set-ups.

I changed my camera from Canon DSLR to Sony mirrorless. I also considered FSB4 to be lighter than the FSB8 fluid head that I was using, but I found this ACE-XL head and purchased it. I am trying to reduce the weight by attaching this head to a Gitzo type 3 tripod. This is 1kg lighter than the FSB8, yet the payload is 8kg. Even with the combination of 600mm F4 + A9, it still works with a great balance.

I am a part time professional photographer and have shot with Canon gear for the last 15+ years. Like many others I got tired of lugging the heavy FF cameras around and have been watching the development of the mirrorless format. I got dizzy trying to navigate all the options and make a decision but finally decided to go with the Sony A7R3. This little converter was the last push I needed to convince me that Sony was a good choice. I take photographs with my cameras. I don't really spend time assessing my gear or pixel peeping. I am not good at that sort of technical gear study. I just see whether things work well or they don't. This works and it works well. The day the camera arrived I didn't yet have any sony lenses but I have several canon lenses. I put the converter on and attached the canon 85mm and I would never have known there was a converter on the camera. The focusing was fast and accurate. This little unassuming converter has saved me countless dollars. While I sold many of my canon lenses, I was able to keep the essential ones that I shoot with most often. No need to purchase new glass to go with my beautiful new camera. This little adapter is a game changer for any canon shooters thinking of making the switch to Sony. I had no idea this existed until I spoke to the folks at B and H asking for their thoughts on which mirrorless would be good for me. BOTTOM LINE: I cannot sing the praises of this little converter/adapter highly enough. I couldn't be happier with my decision to go sony. This little relatively inexpensive thing erased any lingering doubt about the purchase.
