Canon 24 70Mm F4 Is

Needed to replace my 24-70mm f4's hood. �I found that this was a good replacement as the Canon EW-83L was always back ordered and 2x the cost.

Use it on Canon 24-70mm L2.

My Vario-Tessar T FE 24-70mm F4 AZ OSS performed wonderfully as I played with my new "a-7" mirrorless camera system during a week in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, recently. Easy of handling, and pristine focus capabilities made for a cakewalk....... with more practice I will be able to push the envelope a bit.......many thanks for a superb product,.

I wanted to purchase 24-70mm F/2.8 lens which was out of my price range so I settled for this F4 lens and am very happy with its quality and constant F4 for action photography and or in low light situation, I have to use higher ISO due to faster shutter speed or low light but Sony's higher ISO & noise reduction is quite impressive. So having a F4 lens vs. F/2.8 isn't really a big deal and saving is enormous

The Zeiss 24-70mm f4 OSS is quite possibly the best overall lens for video that exists natively in E-Mount. It has image stabilization. An f4 maximum aperture is no problem on an a7SIII when shooting video - most times you'll need an ND-filter when shooting outdoors anyhow; so, that aperture is a non-issue. 24mm is wide enough for most things - there's a sacrifice made depending on what sort of stabilization setting is active on the camera used. 70mm has a nice reach when your legs can't move quick enough to get in closer. It's a tight package - fairly compact and light. I'm amazed there hasn't been an update, a Mark-II if you will, to this lens. At the price point, ~$700, it's tough to beat.

I was pleasantly surprised at the sharpness and detail this lens captures on my Z6.  It is also relatively sharp to the edges and corners at all stops.  I like the rendition of the lens. I know rendition is a personal preference thing. I compared it to my 24-70mm f4 S.  On my Z6, in the very center the two are very close but the leaving the center things change with edges and corners of the 24-70mm f4 S being noticeably less sharp. The lens is larger and heavier than I was hoping for a 50mm f1.8 but I am finding it hard to take off my Z6. Over the years, I have owned a lot of 50mm lenses.  This one is a cut above.

I purchased this pouch for my Z6 with 24-70mm f4 lens (BH OPDDSLRPB).  The fit is nearly perfect.  If you like soft pouches, this is a great choice for Nikons mirrorless.

While the lens is not as fast as the 24-70mm f4 kit lens or the F2.8 24-70mm it is a great option for when you want to travel lite. Using this on the z7 will mean you operate much like the Z50 with just 20 megapixels. But that is great when you need to pack lite.
