The Voigtlander Ultron 40mm F2 SLII is as good as the critiques that I read prior to purchase….Very sharp and an interesting focal length…If one can get past the fact that it’s a manual focus lens in the day of auto focus lenses then I do not see any drawbacks with this lens

I've had a sub f2 50mm for every camera system I have ever owned (Minolta, Canon, Nikon) and I love the normal perspective it delivers. This particular lens performs beautifully, I just don't get why it has to be so big. The 40mm f2 is a wonderful compact lens, I just don't love the extra field of view afforded by the 40mm perspective when I'm shooting on the street.

I have 2 rangefinders (one with a 35mm f2 mounted, 1 with a built in 40mm), a half frame, and an m mount 50mm in the bag plus a small flash, light meter, and 3 rolls of film. It all fits and like my other TT products this seems built like a tank.

This is a dedicated lens hood for the 40mm f2 Ultron SLIIs lens. It is a screw in type with a lens cap that slides over the front of the hood. This feature makes it very convenient to keep the hood permanently attached to the lens.

I recently purchased the Voigtlander 40mm F2 lens and I was so impressed I came back to B&H to find this amazing gem to add to it. Superb clarity, contrast and build quality! A joy to use on a D850!

My Nikon Z7II with my 40mm f2 fits very well and there is a little insufficient space for other lenses but it can be useful for some other accessory. I suppose it will also work with larger lenses like the 50 with Z mount. But with an adapter and any other lens the space is insufficient. The quality is good and it is perfect for what I needed, which is to take the camera with me for walks around the city. If I have to carry more objectives, I prefer the backpack.

Bought this metal lens hood for my Nikon Z 40mm f2 SE lens. It fits perfectly and looks great. Very happy with the purchase.

This hood lends quite a bit of visual appeal and protection to the Voigtlander 40mm f2 Ultron. The included cap fits nicely, superior to the fiddly pinch cap that can pop off if brushed against something. If you want to dress up your lens a bit, the Voigtlander hood and cap does the job to a T.

I got this lens because it works with my DF, F3HP & F2 Photomic. I like the 40mm focal length because I feel this is actually closer to the perspective of the human eye than a 50mm. It is very easy to focus with the DF rangefinder dot as well as the F2 P screen. I have made 11x14 prints (both inkjet & gelatin silver) and the lens seems very sharp. I am also very impressed with the build quality. It is equal to my Ai/Ais lenses and actually focus is smoother than my 50 1.4 Ais. The only minus is the fact that the lens is heavier than it looks. I guess that is because of the all metal & glass construction. The lens hood is a screw in design with a dedicated lens cap that makes it very convenient for carry.
