Canon 500 F4 Used

I use this with my Canon 500 f4 on a Monogimbal head. It extends plenty high enough so I don't have to stoop to see into the view finder. I really like this.

Have been using this with Canon 300 F4 IS lens and 7D Mark II. What I find is that if the subject is relatively close, i.e., birds which are small so you need a lot of magnification this works very well. You will only have one focus point. The more atmosphere between you and the subject, the less chance of a very good sharp result. Where there is very highcontrast, white against black for example, there is purple CA easily removed in photoshop CS6. Also works well with Canon 500 F4. I recommend it. I bought it to use when I didn't want to carrythe 500 f4 long distances or on an airplane to a foreign country or have reason to hand hold. That said, it works well for me in good light shooting at f11 or not good light shooting high ISO which means more work in photoshop. Just be aware that there are limitations and trade offs.

I use this to store and carry a Canon 500 f4. At first I thought it a little big so I added a Kinesis Long Lens Foam Insert in the base. Things are now very snug and well protected. Although not really made for the 500 it fits it well.

Buy this as soon as possible, I use a Canon 300 2.8 and a 500 F4, both the lens caps provided with the lens are a big pain in the neck. Removing them and fitting them time and again is always a problem. In the field, it is a headache. This cap solves all the problems, is easy to fit and remove, lightweight and compact, in an emergency, you can wear it on your head and go about doing your job, then fit it back on the lens.

Used this for the first time today with my Canon EF 16-35 f4 L lens after getting a new Canon R5 last week. No issues and fast autofocus. Haven't set up the control ring yet, but can see it being beneficial once I figure out what control would be best suited for it.

Used with my Canon 70-200 F4 telephoto lens. This extends my lens out further and is great for wildlife. I love shooting outdoors with this. Excellent product. I can still use Auto Focus.

Used this with my Canon 100-500 and the lens did not lose any image quality. Auto focus worked flawlessly and this extender gives you that extra reach.

I really was thinking about getting the 500 F4 or the 600mm and at the last secound I just decided to go with the 500pf... I was really blown away super sharp fast focuse just a super beatiful lens I'm in love with it...

Sturdy & well-built. I've used with my 300 f4 and 500 f4; locks solid and does what it's supposed to.

I bought this to support my 500 f4 lens (I bought it used) and it works perfectly, the lens balances just right and I can move it with just one finger and it stays where I leave it. It may seem a little expensive but I do believe it is worth it especially after purchasing a Large Telephoto lens.
