I bought this for my Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM and it fits firmly. Feels well built and the release button works well too.

The Canon ES-68 is a great, little hood for my 50mm f/1.8 STM lens. While the lens is obviously inexpensive by comparison with almost every other Canon lens, I still want protection from bumps and scratches as well as avoidance of unwanted glare. It fits perfectly and gets the job done.

Great lens for the price! It is comparable to the older Canon 50mm 1.8 II (non-STM), which has since been discontinued by Canon. 5 stars because it's very lightweight, very durable. I have not had any issues. Very sharp around f/2 - f/2.8 I highly recommend this lens as it is exceptionally inexpensive for what you're getting.
