Canon 5D Mark 3 Sample Images

I have owned my 50D for a little over three months now. With 6 weddings plus engagement shoots and senior pictures under it's belt, I like it better each time. I have never owed a 5D or any other full frame sensor camera, or even used one to compare, so I won't even try. But, I CAN compare my resulting images to those of fellow photographers who ARE shooting with those cameras, and I feel confident putting the results this camera produces up against anything I have seen of theirs. If anything faulters in my images, it is because I lacked skill and not because of the Canon 50D. I do use Canon L Series glass, and I think that is a huge contributor. I have never had focus issues due to low light unless I was testing a lower quality lens. That's not the camera's fault. With good lenses, focus is instant and accurate. Out of focus shots are user error. At 1600 ISO there is a little noise, but not near what I expected and i can recover from that post-edit. This may be the one area a 5d Mark II will show its pro camera colors over the 50D. This camera is a very comfortable fit in my average sized hand. Controls are easy to access and there is only a small learning curve to make operating them natural and second nature. I get approximately 650 RAW images on a 16GB CF card, and if you will be shooting all day like me at events, I recommend taking along an extra fully charged battery. Until I can justify spending 2.5x the price for a 5D Mark II (or whatever takes it's place by then), this camera is fabulous and I would buy it all over again! I will be replacing my wife's camera with a 50D very soon as well!

I got used to having GPS information in my images from the Canon 5D Mark IV, when i moved to the Canon mirrorless I was not as pleased with just bluetooth tethering to the phone and hoping the GPS info was added to the images. So, i purchased this and it works great on my R and R5.

I use this with a Canon 5d and 5d Mark II. Bottom line, you can't beat L glass, and I splurged for a really nice UV filter to protect my investment. The ability to go to 1.2 is amazing, but you do have to make sure you hit it. I would recommend shooting in rapid fire if you're photographing kids or even portraits and are attempting 1.2. Doing stills at 1.2 is easier, but hold your breath while you're shooting. It helps with camera shake. But when you nail it, you NAIL it and the images are breathtaking. I've been wanting this lens for about 2 years, and I'm glad I finally got it. Previously shot with 50m 1.8 (non L lens), and it has done just great for me, especially for the price, but upgrading to the L lens shows in my images.

Been searching for the perfect wide angle lens for my Canon 5d mark IV for capturing Milky Way Images. I had no problem finding a star to focus on with live view. Got some awesome Images at F1.8. and F2.8. I am very happy with this lens.

IMHO, this is the best fisheye available for Canon 5D Mark III.

I use this with Canon 5D Mark III and it work fine and is fast enough.
