I use Rhode shotgun Microphone on a canon 60D dslr. With the extension cord I can use the shotgun mircophone as a boom. Simply with the use of some rubber band and a broomstick I create an impromtu boom. This makes my DSLR rig a bit more flexible. I also can place the microphone on a table when interviewing people and thus have excellent sound pickup without having to fiddle with lavalier microphones. If you purchase a microphone with the small jack, get the extension cord too. I like the spiral section at the end that gives you a bit of extra flex to prevent damiging the cable when streched. 5 |

I used this microphone with my Canon 60D DSLR. It captures great sound. Unfortunately the amplifier used in the Canon adds a fair bit of background hiss. I'm able to filter most of this out during editing, so it hasn't created a huge issue. I tried it out connected directly to my MacBook and was quite pleased with the quality without the hiss from the Canon. 5 |

This mic is nice. Tested it with a Canon 60D camera and liked the sound, compared the actual camera microphone with this one plugged in and you really notice the difference. The only thing is that you'll need a 9V battery which is not as commercial as AA or AAA, and, of course, not included. Other than this I really like it! 5 |

I recently purchased a RC-6 wireless remote for my new Canon 60D. Ya gotta have one of these if you want to be included in family photos. I also like it when shooting landscapes in low light conditions. Adding this accessory to the already great image stabilizing lenses , what a dream to work with. I do have one negative for this unit and that is the fact that it has to be used in a line of sight situation unlike other types of remotes that just have to be close. I still give it a 5 star rating and would consider a must in your bag. 5 |
