Canon 70 200 F4 Is 2

I purchased this with my Canon 70-200 f4/L lense and it has been a perfect match.

Works great with 70-200 f4.

I recently purchased the Canon EF 70-200 f4 lens and it's working great on it so far.

I purchased this filter for a Canon 70-200 F4 IS Lens because I am one of those who also shoots film. The added plus of this filter is it is an easy to clean protection filter for my lens. The filter is well made and does the job well. B&W filters are expensive but they are the best. The quality will be remembered long after the price is forgotten.

Purchased for use on Canon 70-200 F4 IS. No observable quality difference on or off. This particular filter does not have all the fancy multi-coatings but so what? If your lens is a modern multi-coated optic its pointless to pay more when your optic already has it. As a bonus this filter is easier to clean w/o all those extra coatings on it.

My Canon 70-200 L F4 IS with this filter focuses fast even in a very low light condition with no distortion.

I just used it for the first time yesterday. I put my Canon 70-200 f4 with IS on a Sony a7s ii. It worked perfectly. I was able to increase the speed to 2.8, and the IS worked just fine. It looks to be built well, and works exactly as I'd hoped. I'll update this review if my opinion changes.

I own three other Canon lenses that came with these rings. When I got the 70-200 f4 it did not include one. A friend told me about the ready availability of cheap copies of this thing. I tried two different versions (I don't think either knockoff was purchased at B&H). One broke at the hinge point after just a few weeks of use. The other worked but was extremely rough when trying to rotate the lens in the ring. Probably my main use for this ring is when shooting in the studio to have a fast, simple way to move from horizontal to vertical. The roughness of making such a move drove me nuts. So I paid up for the real Canon version. MUCH better. It you use one of these things very much having the correct one is well worth the extra cost. Just don't be like me and waste money on two others before this out.

The 1.4x EF Extender III by Canon performs exactly as expected. I use it with my Canon 70 - 200 f4 and it has functioned perfectly. I would recommend it to anyone wanting the ability to reach out a little farther with your lense.
