Fits my Canon 75-300 mm lens perfectly. Easy on, easy off. Durable and well made. I purchased the hood to help block the sun on certain shoots. Works as desired.

I have had it for a month now and it works perfectly. I've used a Canon 40D with 18-55 and 75-300 kit lens with exposures up to 10 minutes. Rock solid.

This teleconverter works remarkably well with my Canon 75 - 300 telephoto zoom lens, at all focal lengths. The focus is sharp, and there are no visible aberrations. It's one limitation (which I'd been warned about) is that the autofocus doesn't work well, but for what I expect to be using it for, that's not a problem for me.

I own the old Canon 75-300 IS USM, NON L lens. Though I've taken hundreds of shots with that lens, a lot of them of baseball games and also BIF's, and stationary wildlife, it's treated me well. 20 shots with this lens from wide open to f8, I am impressed. It's going to take a little time to get used to the weight, but the autofocus, AF speed, and color rendition is AMAZING! I have not heard a peep from the USM, nor the IS system while focusing. To me, compared to my non L lens, this thing is amazingly fast at AF. Most of the shots I took were at dusk, and even in low light, focused quickly. I couldn't be happier with my upgrade to this lens. As always, B&H came through. Obviously I need to shoot a LOT more frames with this lens to really find out what it can do, but so far, I got what I paid for, and then some. Would purchase again if needed, mostly due to B&H excellent service, prices and speed of free Expedited shipping. This is not my first purchase from them, nor will it be the last. I'm so happy with this lens and it's quality. Makes photography so much more fun.

I have a Tamron 18-400, Canon 75-300 and Canon 18-55 and this lens. I've used this lens for 95% of my pictures I since I received it ( 3 weeks) . I like the Tamron but I think picture quality can be an issue at times. The 75-300 is fine but I need a lens for wide angles so I have to change to the 18-55. This lens covers most of my work (landscape, up close architecture ) and I keep the 75-300 on my SL2 for the zoom occasions. At $600 it's pricey but I think it was worth the money.

I also own a 75-300 and as long as thi sone is a little more in cost it is worth the difference and easier to use.

here are some of my thoughts on this lens vs the Olympus 75-300 II At a glance: Olympus pros: starts at 75mm - no contest here costs $100 less, more when discounted Olympus cons: no weather sealing slower aperture no IS no hood nor lens pouch Panasonic pros: faster aperture (1/2 stop?)I image stabilized weather sealed comes with hood and lens pouch Panasonic cons: starts at 100 - not much of a con since i mainly use this lens at 200-300 costs more - to me, the added features/accessories more than makes up for the extra cost, specially the IS In use: IQ: pretty much equal. oly very sharp at 75 and not bad at 300. panny very sharp at 100 and quite good at 300. both benefit from stopping down a bit at 300. panny has a bit of an advantage as aperture is faster IS: with the GX85/G85 ibis, the oly works well, the panny's dual IS works better (more shots in focus). AF: AFS - both are fast AFC - it's in AFC that i find the difference. while the AF jitter/shimmy/wobble whatever you call it still exists, in the Oly, it is very evident and much less noticeable in the panny. So far, in my limited testing, the panny seems to be able to hold focus on the subject better than the oly which has a tendency to shift focus in/out. i don't know if it's because of lens DFD information or the 240 fps af speed that panny advertises. overall - Panasonic
